North Shore Neighbourhood House is a non-profit organization in North Vancouver, BC that has been serving the community since 1939. One of the special events it provides is a Christmas Day Lunch, which has been held annually since 1995 to serve turkey dinners to 250 people who would otherwise be alone on Christmas. Doug Cheng and his wife have volunteered as the cooks for this event for the past two years, and without their support and commitment, the Christmas Day Lunch would not be able to happen.

To whom it may concern,
North Shore Neighbourhood House is a non profitorganization meeting the needs of
North Shore Residents since 1939.
One of the special events that NSNH provides for the community is the Christmas Day
Lunch hosted on December25. This tradition has been taking place since 1995.
We serve 250 turkey dinners with all the trimmings to participants who don’t have the
opportunity to celebrate with others in their own homes.
Doug Cheng and his wife have beencooking at this event for the past two Christmas’.
Without his supportand time commitmentthe event would not be able to happen.
Doug is skilled, organized and very understanding. He has passion for the community
and for helping others.
We feel very lucky that Doug found NSNH and has donated his time on Christmas Day
to create a special memoryfor the residents of the North Shore.
