2. Rationale
NORTHERN MINDANAO SCHOOL OF FISHERIES – Matabao Campuses an
institution accredited by TESDA that offers Technical and Vocational Education and
Training Program (TVET) under the technical Education and Skills Development
Authority (TESDA) and the commission on Higher Education (CHED)
One of the Specialized Training activities which the said Institution undertaken is the
Food and Beverage Services NCII.
Trolley is the device used for carrying load of Food and Beverage products or to
transport the material from one point to another. For different types of application,
various types of trollies are available in the market. To overcome this problem, a new
trolley was designed which could be used for multi-purpose.
This paper contains the development of multi-Purpose trolley from Restaurant services
to Room Service, which includes design based on creativity skills and fabrication, which
can be used for more than one type of task. The trolley designed is the integration of
Food and Beverage NC II trolley.
3. Significant of the Study
This study strived to benefit the following:
● The diploma in hotel in hotel and restaurant trainers and students
-for they will be able to use this trolley in their day-to-day activity and
could make the training easier and space saver
4. Objective
To Minimize the use of equipment and lesser the time allotted
in an institutional assessment.
To Determine the importance of multipurpose trolley in food
industry.
To Develop an updated existing trolley that is useful for
student daily activities.
5. Review of Related Literature
● According to Bhavin J Shah,et.al (2017), Trolley is the mechanical device used for carrying load or to
transport the material at various points. For different kind of applications, we have to select specific type
of trolley. To overcome the problem of specific task trolley, one new trolley is designed which can be
used for more than one field application. This paper contains the design and development of trolley on
the basis of creativity skills to perform multi functions. The trolley designed is the integration of airport
trolley and shopping mall trolley. The major areas of focus while designing are aesthetic, ergonomics,
function and cost.
● According to Prof. Romeo M. De Asis,et. (2017), The study focuses on the design, development, and
evaluation of a multi-featured food cart as itsapplication on the street to facilitate the sale and
marketing of street food to people from the local pedestriantraffic. In particular, the research aimed to
design and develop a Multi-featured Food Cart which has its ownelectrical system; lighting system,
convenience outlets, coin operated outlet, sound system, electric stove andan improve structures;
foldable and extendable roof and collapsible tables.The acceptability of the Multi-featured Food Cart is
evaluated in terms of its aesthetic, functionality,reliability and safety. The results revealed that the
design and development of the Multi-featured Food Cart isoperational with its electrical features and
structural features. Based on the analytical data presented, the resultrevealed that the Multi-featured
Food Cart is highly acceptable in terms of aesthetic, functionality, reliabilityand safety. In addition, an
improvement on some technical field on mechanical methods for better structure isnecessary to attain
effective implementation of the carts mobility on the community.
6. METHODOLOGY
This study employed the descriptive qualitative type
of research design to gain understanding of the different
perspectives and involvement of the respondents
regarding the topic. The first part of the survey indicated
the demographic profile of the participants that may have
influence on their choices and opinion about the study.
The second part showed the status of
implementation of the tourism initiatives of the Escalante
City and the third part was shown to present the opinions
and recommendations of the participants for the study
