何谓 99% ?
“We are the 99 percent. We are getting kicked out of our homes.
We are forced to choose between groceries and rent. We are denied
quality medical care. We are suffering from environmental pollution. We
are working long hours for little pay and no rights, if we're working at all.
We are getting nothing while the other 1 percent is getting everything.
We are the 99 percent.”

我们是 99%。占领华尔街运动相关报道中不断出现的一句话,
亦是美国一场活动的名字。以上那段引文出自活动官网,是活动发
起者对 99% 的定义和介绍。“我们是 99%,我们是除 1% 外的任何
一个人。”活动发起者这么说,“同时我们将不再保持沉默。”
因此,他们发起了一个活动,建立了一个名曰“我们是 99%”
的网站。它鼓励人们“拍一张照,照片上是你拿着一个牌子,牌子
上的文字描述了你的状况……在这下边,写上‘我属于 99%’和‘占
领华尔街’。”
活动进行着,反响热烈。无数人在网站上上传照片,写下他
们为生存而挣扎的种种。工作若干年仍未还完大学学生贷款的,受
疾病折磨但付不起医药费的,毕业即失业的……种种故事被照片
呈现出来,贴在这个网站上。总结下来,大致能得出定义:所谓
的 99%,是大衰退的受害者。对他们来说,生活下去即是胜利——
生活是破产和生存微妙的平衡,然而一旦平衡失调,唯有破产。有
那些相对幸运的人,他们知道自己相对幸运,然而依然会对未来感
到无限忧虑,抑或是月光族。或许这就是所谓二八法则的体现——
99%,即是仅占据了百分之二十财富的百分之八十。
