Since our humble beginnings in 1970, Nimlok has remained committed to producing innovative,
high-quality exhibits and displays
Founded in 1970 by
commercial photographer
in London, Neil Nimmo.
Nimlok expanded tothe USA
and then Canada.
In 1992 Tim Perutz joined the
company as Managing Director of
Nimlok ltd in the UK. By 2000,the
USA Nimlok dealer network grew
to be over120 dealers.
In 2014, Orbus Exhibit & Display
Group moved all Illinois operations
into one state-of-the-art building
in Woodridge, IL, where the
company continues to grow.
Nimlok merged with Orbus
Exhibit & Display Group in
2010, forming one of the
largest exhibit and display
companies in the USA.

An “emergency” case study
Custom Culinary was attending the ACF (American Culinary Federation)
Show in Las Vegas. Nimlok Chicago designed the client a beautiful
exhibit with tall fabric towers, graphics, and a kitchen staging area. The
boothhad been used at previous shows and was being stored in Nimlok
Chicago’s storage facility before being sent to its next location.
An unexpected crisis: It is standard practice to ship booths to
the advanced warehouse in order to ensure timely delivery. The booth
left Chicago with ample time to arrive; however, the delivery truck had
an accident and the client’s exhibit was damaged duringtransit. When
notified of the situation, Nimlok Chicago staff immediately began
searching for solutions that would satisfy the functional needs of the
booth, maintain the integrity of the graphics and branding, and most
importantly, be cost-effective.
What saved the day: Because the exhibit had shipped to
an advanced warehouse, Nimlok Chicago had a larger window of
opportunity to find a solution. Its facilities in Las Vegas were able to
construct a very similar rental structure out of the samecomponents
used in the original. The Nimlok Las Vegas facility includes full
graphics capabilities, so the new booth’s graphics were reprinted
with the same sizing, fit, and finish as the first.
The result: Despite the unforeseen setback, Nimlok Chicago’s
proactivity and diligence allowed Custom Culinary to have a
successful exhibition at the ACF Show. The client was appreciative of
Nimlok’s quick thinking, and best of all, was thrilled with the quality
of its booth’s temporaryreplacement.
