Nikki Saadat worked as an intern for 3 months at the remote Makauwahi Cave Reserve on Kauai, Hawaii through Antioch College's internship program. She had little experience camping or with the skills required for tasks like collecting scientific data, assisting visitors, and animal care. However, she quickly learned and by the end had become assistant manager, with knowledge of tasks that were previously unfamiliar. She was well accepted by local residents and staff and showed strong determination and maturity over her time there. Her supervisor recommends her without reservation for future opportunities due to her natural intelligence and determination to succeed in whatever she pursues.
