With this key insight from Ninjump Dash, we thought of taking it to the next level...and Mask Gun was born. A real time multiplayer fps for mobile.
Think Counter strike on mobile. Thats the experience we want to bring to touch devices.
A game which you can play with people across the globe over any network.
We felt that FPS games are primarily about movement and precise aiming. So we went with autoshoot mechanics. This solved the problem of mapping three mechanics on a two axis touch control
In an FPS, Weapons are everything. So we focused on creating high quality weapons which not only looked great but had good gameplay feel to it.
Weapons can be upgraded and customized with skins and stickers as a way of self expression.
Although players primarily play fps for competitive reasons, they also like to play collaboratively with other players, Our Team Deathmatch facilitates this where 3 friends can face off against 3 other players.
Having the standard FOV of 70 was giving a tunneling effect in-game and also making the target harder to point at. So we reduced the FOV to 35. This FOV felt just about right on the small screen mobile devices
Missions provide an additional challenge to the player. They encourage the player to return each day for additional bonuses. This acts as a good retention mechanic
What is next for Mask Gun? We have a deep clan system with a persistence world, clan hierarchy, weekly clan wars etc.
To support the meta game of clans and tournaments we have a crafting system which allows crafting of powerful weapons.
