1. In 2007, EBC*L (European Business Competence League) opened new representative offices in Ukraine, Albania, Macedonia, Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Kenya, Turkey, Spain, Andorra, and expanded to the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Romania through an EU grant project.
2. The first EBC*L Champions League for 40 students from Hungary and Austria was held in Vienna in June 2007 and will become a permanent part of EBC*L's programming.
3. The annual EBC*L representative meeting in Budapest was the largest yet with 40 participants from 20 countries. Martin Hlinomaz also joined the team at EBC*L International

The EYP represents a non-partisan and independent educational project
which is tailored specifically to the needs of the young European citizen.
The EYP encourages independent thinking and socio-political initiative
in young people and facilitates the learning of crucial social and
professional skills. Since its inauguration, many tens of thousands of
young people have taken part in regional, national and international
sessions, formed friendships and made international contacts across and
beyond borders. The EYP has thus made a vital contribution towards
uniting Europe.
Today the EYP is one of the largest European platforms for political
debate, intercultural encounters, political educational work and the
exchange of ideas among young people in Europe. The EYP consists of a
network of 37 European associations and organisations in which thousands
of young people are active in a voluntary capacity.

EBC*L Launch Ukraine
Kiew, March 2007
Already 2 months after signing the agreement the
official opening meeting of the EBC*L office in Kiew
was accomplished. The representative office is led by
the Businesses Education Alliance (BEA) with
registered office in Kiev under the direction of Mrs.
Olena Baryshnikova.
New EBC*L country Albania
Tirana, April 2007
Starting in April 2007 we were able to welcome the
representative office in Tirana, Albania as new EBC*L
country. The representative office assumed by the
PARSh, project office of the German adult education
federation in Albania. Director/conductor of the
representative office is Mr. Sokol Avxhiu.

Skopje, May 2007
With a high interest of media and in bright
sunshine the EBC*L representative office in
Skopje, Macedonia was opened. The
representative office is taken over by CS global. As

1. EBC*L Champions League
Vienna, June 2007
For the first time in this year the EBC*L champion
League with 40 pupils from Hungary and Austria
was accomplished. „In order to succeed in the
Global Economy, Europe needs people, who
dispose of business competence. Initiatives like the
EBC*L Champions League promote the motivation
and the ambition of pupils to acquire and prove
these skills“, so M. Gutierrez-Diaz, Chief of the
department of innovation and transversal politics in the head office of education and culture of the
European union at the official awards ceremony.
In future the EBC*L champion League will become a firm component of the EBC*L action program.
New EBC*L countries Greece & Cyprus
July 2007
Two countries are cared for by Dr. Harris Paterakis. He is
a director of Europedia Hellas and director of the
representative offices in Greece and Cyprus. Thus the
EBC*L in the south of Europe will continue to spread and
ensures a place in the sun.
New EBC*L country Malta
August 2007
In August 2007 the island of Malta also became part of
the European EBC*L network. The EBC*L national
representative office in Malta is conducted by Dr. Joseph
Bonnici and Mr. Gerard Vella is entrusted with the
operational management of the representative office.
With the European Institute of Education we are pleased
to have found a very efficient and established partner in
the south of Europe.

3. EBC*L representative meeting
Budapest, September 2007
In the genuine Ambient of the hotel Gellert in Budapest
the annual representative meeting was taking place for
3 days. With 40 participants from 20 countries it was
the largest meeting of this kind. It was an extremely
interesting exchange of concepts, ideas and
successes in a very pleasant atmosphere. The culture
program was also very successful and the anticipation
for the next representatives meeting in Croatia is
already very large.
New EBC*L country Kenia
September 2007
In September 2007 we gladly welcome the
representative office in Nairobi, Kenia as a further
EBC*L country. For the first time the EBC* L
exceeded the borders of Europe and gained
ground on the African continent. The
representative office is assumed by the Institute of
Advanced Technology IAT in Nairobi. Director of
the representative office is Mr. Thomas Gitumbi.
New EBC*L country Turkey
October 2007
Since October 2007 the representative office in Turkey is
a new member oft he EBC*L Family. Mrs. Arzu Özyol is
CEO oft he company HYRDA and leader of the
representative office. With offices in Istanbul and Ankara
there are good chances to spread the EBC*L all over the
country and to establish the EBC*L in the southeast of
Europe.

EBC*L on the Road
November 2007
Under the title "EBC*L on the Road" the European
commission granted a project for the innovation
transfer of the EBC*L. In the context of the program
lifelong learning, Leonardo da Vinci, during the period of 18 months the set-up of the system of EBC*L is
being supported in the countries Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania. The project was filed by the
EBC*L representative office Czech Republic, who also took over the management of the project.
New EBC*L countries Spain and Andorra
December 2007
At the end of 2007 the EBC*L also succeeded in gaining ground in the west of
Europe. The European Consulting Education, S.L. took over the representative
office for Spain and the Pyrenees state Andorra. Mr. Lluis Arasanz will spread the
EBC*L from Madrid and Barcelona over the Iberian Peninsula, whereby he can rely
on an outstanding network, which covers also Valencia, Sevilla and Bilbao. The
EBC*L accession of Spain was a further highlight of our international
developments for this year and a very pleasing end of the year 2007.
Martin Hlinomaz joins the Team of EBC*L International

We welcome Mr. Martin Hlinomaz as a new coworker in the team of EBC*L international. Together with
Martin Purpur and Friederike Martschitz Martin Hlinomaz will take care of the operational sequences in the
EBC*L central. This expansion of personnel responds to the risen service demand and the constantly
growing number of EBC*L countries.
