The “Short Session” of the General Assembly begins Tuesday, May 13th at 12:00 noon.
There is a list of bills that are eligible for consideration this session on the NCGA
website:
                              http://www.ncleg.net/eligible bills

Study Committees have been busy during our “interim” time and they will also present
bills for consideration. Legislation on gang violence and transportation funding will be
discussed during this session. We will also work on water conservation and drought
planning, which is essential even though we have received some unexpected relief
recently. Now we have a little breathing space to plan!

Please continue to share your thoughts and concerns with us. I appreciate your input on
pending legislation and events happening in Charlotte.
