1. ANDERSONS
THE
701 North Main Street
Everly, IA 51338
Each year presents itself with unique challenges and opportunities.
We strive to seek partnerships where we work together to navigate
through these challenges and take advantage of opportunity.
We would like to share with you some of the recent projects, plans,
and services that are here to serve you.
We hope this newsletter gives you some additional insight on the
teams that are working to serve you and the community. We also
hope to inform you on a few of the plant and facility improvements
being implemented to improve our customer service.
2. Here to Serve
The Andersons are always looking to find new and
innovative ways to serve you. We strive to create lasting
relationships, so we can be there for you when times are
good, but also help guide you through the challenges. Our
crop management, grain, and energy teams are
continuously seeking for new ways and services to benefit
you. We make it a goal to ensure that which ever service
we are providing, it is what’s best for you. We aim to make
every change or improvement a way to improve our
service for our customers including our capital investments
and facility improvements.
Some of the capital investments going on in Iowa’s Andersons
locations are a conveyor belt replacement in Superior and an
insertion of a mineral oil system in Milford to minimize dust. A
couple other projects being implemented is an employee locker
room in Langdon, and Everly’s grain probe is going to be
replaced and relocated. The Crop Management Team has also
invested in a new AGCO 9300 liquid VRT terragator and a R4038
John Deere sprayer. But the largest capital investment
happening in our Iowa grain locations is a 1.7 million bushel
pile in Gruver. We are excited for every one of these changes
that are about to happen and be able to better serve our
customers.

The Plant Nutrition group is glad to be helping you
manage your crops and therefore minimizing your risk.
Our goal is to help you produce maximum yields while
minimizing your costs. One service we provide that helps
us achieve this goal is the Vertex Program. The Vertex Program helps our
customers get the most out of every acre by providing insights you other
wise wouldn’t have. It provides different tools that allow us to do different
things such as mapping fields and tracking the weather.
We also provide many other services including crop scouting and custom
application to name a few. On July 10th
, we had our annual plot day
where we provided our customers with hands on advice by showing you
different corn hybrids and varieties of beans at that point in time, and also
showing you recommended solutions. If you missed it, keep a look out on
the Andersons web page for the August plot day.
We also offer several different fungicide and insecticide products as
well as many other liquid and dry fertilizers. With the time being, your
corn crops should be reaching or close to reaching stage VT or full
tassel. This is the optimal time to apply fungicides such as Stratego YLD
or Headline and with those, an insecticide such as Tundra and Cobalt.
As for your beans we recommend to begin scouting for aphids and spider mites.
When your beans begin to reach the R3 stage, we recommend your application of fungicide and insecticide
treatments. At that same stage, we would also recommend a Foliar Feed product such as MAX-IN-ZMB.
The Andersons crop management team enjoys helping our customers find just the right applications and amounts,
and providing exceptional service that will help you maximize your yields. Call us today on any advice or questions
you may need or have at 712-834-2238 or any Plant Nutrition employee on the contact list.
