2. Inspace Code Gladiator 2016!
Recently our Software Architect and Delivery Head, Mr. Prabu Raveendran
participated in the Times Group, all India software coding logics contest and
got placed in top 5th position out of 1,40,000 contestants! It was a key
milestone achievement to our quality talents at Inspace.

Recently our associated, Jains Car Group inaugurated a new
dealership, Jubilant Nissan, in Chennai. The newly-opened showroom
is the fifth Nissan dealership in the city. The showroom is spread
across 3500 sq. ft. and will display five cars from both Nissan and
Datsun brand. The 1S facility is located at Mount Road.

Welcome back to another edition of our BAIT Series, which aims primarily to
align business with technology. This month we would do a brief case study
on popular Call Taxi operators!
To start with, let’s us few of the top names that come to our minds, when we
think of Call Taxis…
Many of these top call taxi operators are based out of India. Few are from
international background or have international backings. Basically all these
operators provide cars on hire within leading tier 1 and tier 2 cities (both
local and sometimes inter-city as well). They also cater to outstation
commuters through airport / rail-station pickup and drop services. These cab
operators have utilised technology to their benefit and not are among the
fastest growing taxi hiring firms. Taxi booking facility can be availed through
app, website or through calls and their mobile app is one of the most
popular cab booking medium nowadays.

Imagine the number of call taxis plying on the roads today! What could have
been the reason behind the success of these cab operators in such a short
span of time? Let’s do a short analysis. What comes to our minds
immediately, when we talk about these cab operators? More than anything
else, of course, their mobile app and GPS technology which shows where
their cabs are on the map and by what time it will reach us along with its
real-time tracking along with its driver contact details, etc., isn’t it. Yes,
these successful cab operators embraced technology and aligned their
business operations with technology, thereby beating the competitors
(those who did not keep up with the new technologies and stagnated even
though they had established presence earlier) in the game.
Another untold advantage in embracing such technology (like GPS) is that
even if the taxi driver is not familiar with the language of the booking
customer, through GPS, the cab arrives on time to the customer’s location.
Alternatively, when the booking customer is unable to explain the route or
exact location of pickup / drop place, just by entering the building name,
street name and locality, they are able to commute without much ado. As
an added advantage now traffic congestions and re-routing on alternate
paths are even more exciting – make life easier!
These “wow” experiences that technology gave to their customers was the
real turning point. Now these cab operators are spoken of, at every nook
