The document discusses developing an Islamic SIM card application that would provide features useful for Muslims, such as notifying users of prayer times and banning incoming calls during prayers. It proposes a business model where the SIM application would be preinstalled at factories and generate revenue from royalties on SIM sales and small user fees shared with mobile operators and SIM vendors. The creator is seeking investment to conduct a pilot with a mobile operator and further develop the application, management team, support, and market reach. He provides contact information for interested parties to learn more.
This document proposes a Facebook-connected SIM card that provides real-time location tracking through cellular networks without requiring GPS, WiFi, or data plans. This would allow users to track friends and send emergency alerts while preserving battery life. The document outlines two marketing options: 1) A Facebook-integrated SIM tracker that shares location with Facebook friends. 2) A web-based SIM tracker that sends location via SMS or a web map. It argues this could generate advertising revenue for Facebook and MNOs while expanding into spin-off services like pilgrimage tracking or personal trackers.
This thesis examines the use of phylogenetic invariants and inequalities to infer small phylogenetic trees from genetic data. The author tests the effectiveness of these algebraic statistics methods over a broad range of simulated data for trees with 3 to 5 taxa. Additionally, the author analyzes real genetic data from 3 and 4 taxa to evaluate the performance of phylogenetic invariants and inequalities. Key results include an analysis of how performance varies with the number of genetic sites, branch lengths, and evolutionary models. This research helps establish the utility of algebraic statistics approaches for phylogenetic tree inference.

This document provides instructions for configuring high availability (HA) with Platform Manager. It discusses setting up HA for both gateways and the Platform Manager Server. For gateways, the process involves defining primary and secondary nodes, creating an HA group, adding floating IP addresses, configuring heartbeat channels, installing software on the secondary, and more. For the Platform Manager Server, a similar process is outlined that additionally requires enabling power control, moving services and storage to shared disks, and configuring the secondary server. The document emphasizes key steps and requirements for ensuring HA functions properly during failures.
The document discusses an Islamic SIM service being showcased in Africa. The service, designed by a Greek engineer, allows users of basic phones to track the direction of Mecca, receive prayer times, and automatically reject calls during prayers. It will be shown at Africa Com in Cape Town. The SIM aims to bring Islamic functions to basic phones across Asia and Africa, where many cannot afford specialized phones but networks are not upgraded for apps. Mobile operators may offer it as a subscription or see increased messaging revenue from users.

A Greek engineer has invented a new type of SIM card designed for Muslim users. Called the Islamic SIM Service (ISS), the SIM card enables users to track the direction of Mecca for prayers, receive accurate prayer times, convert calendars, and automatically reject incoming calls during prayer times. The SIM card can work on both smartphones and regular mobile phones. The inventor believes the SIM card will be popular in African and Asian markets as it provides Islamic functions without needing a specialized phone. The SIM card is currently being reviewed by mobile carriers in some countries.
