Let’s Care foundation is carrying out different projects for children in difficult circumstances.
Let’s Care home for girls program is a long term, temporary shelter for abused maltreated,
(sexually) abused, exploited and neglected girls from the age of 5 up until the age of 17 years
who need special care and protection. We cater for all these girls in the province Antique,
located on the island of Panay in the Philippines. In the home they find a safe haven, get trauma
therapy (rehabilitation), counseling and they will be involved in many activities so that these
children also can have a happy childhood and grow up as happy, independent and well-
balanced adults. In addition to working on personal development and empowerment education
and the training of skills is of most importance. This makes the children stronger, more confident
and trough this they learn skills so they can always make a living. In order to survive here in the
Philippines, especially when the family ties are not in order, it is most important that these
children have knowledge in order to obtain a good job, or to have skills so they can earn a living
for themselves.
They enroll an 18 months rehabilitation program and after that an 18 months after care
program.
We try to reintegrate them back in the community whenever possible. The best place for
children to grow up is a family. If this is not possible, we find a suitable foster family or caring
relative for the child to live with.
We are operational with this program since 2011. Besides this program we have other running
projects and programs. Among others 2 street boys projects, Advocacy campaign on children’s
rights and prevention of child abuse, educational support projects, eye care projects and dental
care project.
This year we will start with our income generating projects. We have planned a set of projects
which are mutually reinforcing. These projects provide skills and income opportunities for our
beneficiaries and income to sustain our social projects. Untill such time we are self-supportive,
which is our goal we strive towards, we are in need of financial support. We hope you work
together with us in this endeavor.
Enclosed are our different projects in need of financial support. In case you need more or other
information, please let us know.
We hope you will support us in our endeavour to make this world a better place!
