Scope Of Use of CSIR Rural Technology In Anandadhara -NRLMSamanjit Sen Gupta
Malda District of West Bengal has tied up in a big way with CSIR for using appropriate cheap rural technology and CSIR Scientific Expertise to improve Ruarl Livelihoods, especially of women and Self Help Groups. The Anandadhara Office under the Project Director, DRDA, Malda is taking a key role in this tie up and social enterprise. This power-point explains in the first Workshop held on 24.3.15 by PD DRDC Malda with CSIR to convince stakeholders the need for this new and novel step.
The need for re-energising the electricity sector is therefore urgent. This can be achieved through a series of steps such as commitment to buy, an acceptable fuel price, operation of stranded capacity, commercial orientation of utilities, domestic fuel availability, creation of an integrated national grid with enhancement of inter-regional transmission capacity and promotion of competitive markets in all elements of the chain.
