Newker Primary School had a poorly drained, underused grassed playing field. Notts Sport carried out a feasibility study, gained planning approval, and designed a new multi-use games area for students' use. The facility includes a 37m x 18.5m synthetic turf pitch with markings for football and netball, fencing, pathways, and was completed in October 2014 at a cost of £75,500. The school praised Notts Sport for taking responsibility for the design, planning, and construction phases of the project to reduce the workload on the school.
