Emma Garcia Prieto chose to write about her family's New Year's Eve celebrations. In the morning, her mother did last-minute preparations. In the afternoon, Emma helped set the table and finish cooking while getting ready. That evening, guests arrived and Emma greeted them while photos were taken. They watched the typical New Year's Eve programming on TV and ate grapes at midnight to bring in the new year.

When there were a few minutes, we gave the grapes.The
chimes rang and I tried to keep up, but I not eat so fast. And
