EBC trip information: Everest base camp trekking is most popular trekking destination in Nepal himalaya. Alone the way, you follow the Dudh Koshi (Milky river) and small inhabitant of Sherpa village. Standing tall at 8848m, Mount Everest is renowned amongst tourists not just for the majestic peak itself but also because of the hospitality of its natives; the Sherpas who live in most part of the surrounding areas, and the Everest Base Camp trekking path. Everest base camp trekking becomes more popular after the successful ascent by Edmund Hillary and Tenzin Norgy Sherpa in 1953. Once off the airplane at Lukla, the Everest Base Camp trekking begins and goes through Choplung, Monju and Namche Bazar – the famous market town of the Khumbu region. In Namche, you will be greeted with a lot of warm smiles and 'Namastes' from the local Sherpas. Before the migration from Tibet to Nepal, the Sherpas were once nomads and traders of yak hides and sundry items, returning with salt and wool. Today, most of the Sherpas are porters and guides to those who dare to venture around the Everest Base Camp trek as they are highly regarded for their physical prowess and the ability to adapt at high altitudes. Besides being fascinated by the panoramic views of snow-covered mountains, the trekking route has more to offer with the scene of vegetation graduating from thick forestation of pine, fir, birch, rhododendrons and shrubs to alpine plants and then to bare rock and snow. It's when you finally reach Kala Pattar, a reroute to Everest Base Camp, you will be able to take in the stunning views of the mighty Everest and its range. Nowadays, Kalapather is highly recommended for your mind blowing views of all Himalayan range. We have special exclusive package for Kalapather trekking with Guide, porters, trekking itineraries and necessary equipment.
