Canadian government hasincluded new occupations for consideration under its Federal Skilled Worker Program. • There are currently 50 occupations are eligible for processing. • One must have at least one year of continuous, full-time (or an equal amount of part-time) paid work experience, in at least one of these occupations within the last ten years. • Effective May 1, 2014, CIC will consider only 25,000 applications for processing. • Within the 25,000 cap, only 1,000 applications per eligible occupation will be considered for processing within this same time frame.
