Canadian government has included new
occupations for consideration under its
Federal Skilled Worker Program.
• There are currently 50 occupations are eligible for processing.
• One must have at least one year of continuous, full-time (or an equal
amount of part-time) paid work experience, in at least one of these
occupations within the last ten years.
• Effective May 1, 2014, CIC will consider only 25,000 applications for
processing.
• Within the 25,000 cap, only 1,000 applications per eligible
occupation will be considered for processing within this same time
frame.

Teaching Professionals
Management Professionals
Engineering Professionals
Finance Professionals
Computer Professionals
More Occupations
In addition, following occupations are also being considered:
• Professional occupations in advertising, marketing and public relations
•
Property administrators
•
Construction estimators
• Inspectors in public and environmental health and occupational health and
safety
• Translators and Interpreters.
