Netball is a fast-paced game played by two teams of seven players each, with specific positional rules. Players must remain in designated areas of the court depending on their position of goal keeper, goal shooter, goal defence, goal attack, or centre. Sticking to the positional rules is important to avoid turning over the ball to the other team. Additional rules prohibit stepping out of bounds with the ball, walking with the ball, or standing closer than three feet to an opposing player. Each position is denoted by a colored bib.

1. Netball is a really fun sport for girls, particularly
younger girls.
Netball is a real fast game, using a ball and seven
people. Over three thirds of a rather big court.
Everybody starts of in certain positions and are only
allowed in certain areas. All the positions in red make
out a team….
There are seven people in a team. There are two
umpires on each side and you have two people on the
side which get to go on at half time. Goal keeper and
goal shooter are only allowed in one third and the
semi circle to shoot. Goal defence and goal attack
are allowed in two thirds. Centre is allowed all over
the court except for semi circles.

2. It’s important that you stick to the areas that your
allowed to because if not it could lead to the other
team getting the ball.
The rules are very important, one of the rules is don’t
step out of the court with the ball. If you do so it will
be the other teams ball if the ball rolls out of the court
whoever last touched it would not get it. You’re not
allowed to walk with the ball or else it would be
stepping. You are not allowed to stand shorter then
three feet with your hands up. If you’re defending
someone and you touch them or the ball or your
closer then three feet you will have to stand next to
them.
