This could be due to factors like lack of collateral, poor credit histories, and language barriers rather than direct discrimination. The document outlines actions being taken by the government, banks, and others to improve access to finance for ethnic minority businesses through initiatives like research, mentorship programs, and increased transparency of lending data.

Customer Journey Map
Understanding User Needs and Satisfying ThemAggregage
https://www.productmanagementtoday.com/frs/26903918/understanding-user-needs-and-satisfying-them
We know we want to create products which our customers find to be valuable. Whether we label it as customer-centric or product-led depends on how long we've been doing product management. There are three challenges we face when doing this. The obvious challenge is figuring out what our users need; the non-obvious challenges are in creating a shared understanding of those needs and in sensing if what we're doing is meeting those needs.
In this webinar, we won't focus on the research methods for discovering user-needs. We will focus on synthesis of the needs we discover, communication and alignment tools, and how we operationalize addressing those needs.
Industry expert Scott Sehlhorst will:
• Introduce a taxonomy for user goals with real world examples
• Present the Onion Diagram, a tool for contextualizing task-level goals
• Illustrate how customer journey maps capture activity-level and task-level goals
• Demonstrate the best approach to selection and prioritization of user-goals to address
• Highlight the crucial benchmarks, observable changes, in ensuring fulfillment of customer needs

3. message from the sponsor
Entrepreneurial spirit and
ambition is universal across the
country, and as customers start
to spend more, entrepreneurs
are more confident in starting
and growing their businesses.
SMEs are the lifeblood of the
British economy, representing
almost half of GDP so it is critical
that we help these budding
entrepreneurs with inspiration and encouragement
through combined support from enterprise agencies,
larger companies and the financial sector.
At Barclays we have nearly 800,000 business customers
which means we provide bank accounts for 1 in 5 of
the SMEs in the UK and understand local businesses
and local economies. Our purpose is helping people
to achieve their ambitions – in the right way.
Events like today help us keep up to date with the
challenges which businesses face, and help us identify
ways in which we can work more effectively with
communities across the country. Partnership is key
to growth, and this is a rare opportunity for us all to
benefit from each other’s experience.
I am really looking forward to the event itself and hearing
from what looks like a great line-up of speakers. Come and
visit our Barclays team today and we can discuss ideas
with you.
