Overview:
It is a negotiation between a sales Manager of Datalink an IT company with the VP of
Ain Soultane, they are negotiating the price, time of delivery and the guaranties and
warranties.
Simulation
Ilias: Good morning.
Omar: Good morning, are you Ilias from Datalink company
Ilias: yes, I am Ilias Alouani the sales manager of Datalink Company specialized in IT
solution for companies, we develop plateforms softwares and we also provide
consultancy services
Omar: I am the VP of Ain Soultane this is my assistant Mounia. We have done look at
your company profile concerning our project to introduce a new system to manage our
inventories and we think your profile fit in our requirement but we need to negotiate
those three elements the price, time of accomplishment and guaranties and warranties.
Lets start with the price.
Ilias: For this type of project it will cost you 4.5 millions Dirhams
Mounia: Don’t you think it is too much??? Datasoft Maroc is offering this service with
less than that.
Ilias: We are the leader in the Moroccan market, and in addition we had created this
system to Danone and Sidi Ali and it boost their operations and increase their profit.
Mounia: You seem to be very tough , could you decrease the price you know we are not
as big as Sidi Ali or Danone
Ilias: since it is our first time to do business together we will give you 2 percent discount,
meaning that you will save 90000 Dirhams.
Omar: That’s a good deal concerning time how much this project will take to
accomplish?
Ilias: It will take around 7 months
Omar: is it possible to make this project in less period?
Ilias: The fastest we can make it is 5 months, but it will add up some extra costs. If you
are ready to pay those extra costs, it is not a big deal.
Omar: More money?? We can not let’s set it to 7 months, okay. What about your
guaranties and warranties?
Ilias: We will insure that you will have your project done successfully with a high quality
standards, and for the warranties our company take the responsibility of any defect of
problem that may occur within one year
Omar: 1 year it is not enough could you prolong to two years if it is possible?
Ilias: we can not it is unprofitable for us because the price of maintenance is very high.
Omar: Let’s recapitulate, The project price is 4.5 Million Dirhams with 2 % discount. It
will be delivered in 7 months with 1 year warranty, let sign the contract
Ilias: It is a pleasure to do business with you.
