TAYLOR HILL, PITCHER, TRIPLE-A SYRACUSE
After dominating in his first start of 2014, Hill had created a tough act for him to follow.
However, his second outing did not disappoint, as he allowed only 2 hits, 2 walks and 1
run in 7 innings of work, while striking out 6 batters. Hill is now the Chiefs’ staff leader
in wins (2) and strikeouts (11), as well as placing second on the team in innings pitched
(13) and ERA (0.69).
WILMER DIFO, SECONDBASEMAN, SINGLE-A HAGERSTOWN
Difo has recently begun to build on his already solid start to the 2014 season, as he is
currently riding an 8 game hit streak, including 3 multi-hit games, into April 17. Since
April 10, Difo has batted .346 with 3 doubles and 2 RBIs, drawn 2 walks, stolen 3 bases
and scored 3 runs. He’s become one of the most versatile players on the Suns, currently
leading the team in hits (17), extra-base hits (6) and stolen bases (8), while adding 6 RBIs
and 7 runs scored.
