HISTORY
• 1917 - Vocational Agricultural Programs Introduced (Smith Hughes
Act)
• 1928 - FFA was established
• 1935 - New Farmers of America was established
• 1950 - FFA was granted an official federal charter
• 1965 - Merger of FFA and NFA
• 1969- Women were granted membership
• 1973 - FFA Official Dress standards created
• 1988 - Name Change (FFA to National FFA Organization)
• Current - Membership continues to break records every year
