John T. Moss founded the Native American Trade Information Office (NATIO) in 1981 as a division of the non-profit Caddo Assets Services Help Community Development. NATIO aims to provide funding options and promote tribal economic development, education, and self-reliance for Native American nations. Moss has over $8.5 billion in economic projects underway in Indian Country and works with Indigenous groups worldwide. He co-founded Indigenous Development Collaborative to assist tribes with casinos, hotels, housing, and other economic opportunities on and off reservation lands. Most recently, Moss has focused on financial literacy programs and job development for tribes and the military through partnerships with the Obama Administration.
