Aqualogy Reputation Institute Conference 2013Limmat Stiftung
This document outlines Aqualogy's transformation from a 150-year old water company called Agbar into a global water solutions brand. It discusses key facts about water usage and distribution worldwide to establish the importance of Aqualogy's work. The business model has changed from a focus on concessions to new opportunities in water technologies and efficiency. Aqualogy now provides integrated solutions for water issues around the world, applying knowledge gained through successful management in Barcelona. Market research showed Agbar had an image as an engineering company but Aqualogy is seen as more modern, warm, and mission-driven. A communication plan aims to establish Aqualogy's new corporate culture and consolidate its global brand through a transmedia approach.
Open defecation is the practice of defecating outside rather than in a toilet. It is common where sanitation infrastructure is lacking and people do not have access to toilets or due to cultural traditions. Open defecation pollutes the environment and spreads disease, impacting health, child mortality, and economic development. It also presents safety and security issues for women who face harassment. Efforts are needed to promote toilet usage through behavior change programs that make toilets more desirable and emphasize their importance for sanitation and health.

The community is working to strengthen local identity and preserve green spaces through various social and environmental projects.

[Srijan Wednesday Webinar] Decoupled Demystified: The Present & Future of Dr...Srijan Technologies
Speaker: Preston So, Development manager, Acquia Labs
It’s been a little over a year since Drupal 8 was released with RESTful web services available out of the box, but that doesn’t mean that our community hasn’t kept pace with unprecedented progress in the landscape around us. Since November 2015, we’ve released two new minor versions of Drupal 8, each with exciting new features in the core REST API, thanks to the indefatigable team comprising the API-first initiative.
Nonetheless, changes are occurring simultaneously in the wider API landscape which are challenging our perceptions and, accordingly, our approaches. Alternatives to our core REST implementation such as JSON API and GraphQL are quickly gaining steam in the front-end world.
Join the webinar as we delve into what’s changed since the release of Drupal 8 in core web services, how core and Drupal’s wider web services ecosystem will evolve in coming minor versions, and how the API-first initiative is anticipating further evolution in our fast-moving surroundings.

Malaysia is a Southeast Asian country with a population of 27.17 million. Its capital is Kuala Lumpur and its administrative capital is Putrajaya. Tourism is a major industry for Malaysia, with attractions including natural landscapes, cultural festivals, shopping, and beaches. Tourism Malaysia was established to promote the country as a tourism destination. Its "Malaysia Truly Asia" campaign has been successful in increasing arrivals. However, tourism has also led to some environmental, social, and economic impacts for Malaysia.
Providing clean water and sanitation facilities to all Indians is a major challenge. Currently, many rural Indians lack access to these basic necessities. This leads to negative health and economic impacts, including high rates of water-borne diseases and lost work days. A proposed decentralized, community-based solution focuses on awareness campaigns, formation of local water committees, and utilizing technical expertise to develop sustainable drinking water and sanitation infrastructure and maintenance practices. The goal is a demand-driven, self-help model that empowers communities rather than relying solely on government provision.
Social marketing aims to change behaviors to improve public health and economic well-being by considering people as customers rather than beneficiaries. Sanitation, hygiene, and water harvesting are essential for public health and wealth in urban areas. The document discusses social marketing strategies used in India for total sanitation campaigns, including hygiene promotion, sanitation product promotion, and awareness campaigns using TV commercials, mobile apps, and brand ambassadors. It provides examples of innovative community-led sanitation projects in India and case studies of successful rainwater harvesting programs in states like Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, and Kerala that have improved water access and quality.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

Chandra Dev: Unveiling the Mystery of the Moon GodExotic India
Shining brightly in the sky, some days more than others, the Moon in popular culture is a symbol of love, romance, and beauty. The ancient Hindu texts, however, mention the Moon as an intriguing and powerful being, worshiped by sages as Chandra.
2. Backpacking Western Tourists
● Backpackers from Israel, Germany, France, S. Korea
have no objections to the ‘tough’ conditions in India
● They come looking for ‘spirituality’; and do not mind the
materialistic chaos
● They work their way through uncomfortable buses,
crazy honking on roads
3. Backpacking Western Tourists
● India is already a ‘spiritual hub’ for them
● But they cannot deal with “dirty, filthy smelly, poorly
maintained toilets”
● Most foreign tourists simply ask for:
○ Clean Western-style Toilets
○ Access to Toilet Paper
4. Let’s bring Clean Toilets to them
● We cannot change the ‘Indian type toilet’ infrastructure
overnight
● Let’s just give them ‘clean toilets’ first
● Start a “toilet cleanliness rating” for all restaurants
● “Sulabh Shauchalaya” requires massive expansion
5. Poor Toilet Hygiene in Restaurants
● You walk in to Barista, Cafe Coffee Day, big eating food
chains, etc
● Amidst imported Sofas in the lounge, there are tiny,
dirty, water-leaking toilets even in big brands
● Even the smallest of eating place in Europe or USA has
a clean toilet
6. Poor Toilet Hygiene in Restaurants
● Yes, part of it is the poor toilet hygiene Indians have
● But a large part of it is because of “poor toilet-hygiene”
consciousness among restaurant owners, food chains,
stores, and even malls
● By giving poor toilet infrastructure, these public places
create a vicious-circle with people’s poor toilet habits
7. Example of Delhi Metro
● People’s habits change with a “cleanliness
consciousness” -- Delhi Metro is a pristine example
● No paan spits, no garbage, no spitting on tracks -- by
the sample people
● Delhi Metro changes that consciousness of the same
people
8. Restaurants can do this too
● Create an economic incentive for restaurant owners to
have better, bigger, cleaner and well-maintained toilets
● Give them a “toilet hygiene ranking”
● Make this ranking public and accessible on a portal; and
on mobiles through Apps
● Crowd-source this ranking via the website and Mobile
apps
9. Upgrade Sulabh Shauchalaya
● What started as a wonderful initiative has degenrated
● The toilets at all Delhi Metro stations maintained by
Sulabh Shauchalaya are to be seen
● They are all in horrible, unusable state
● Western-toilet seats are usually broken or dirty
● Indian-style toilets have water and unwashed excreta
