2. INTRODUCTION
My name is Mohammed Abdul-
Rashid. I was born on the 6th of
September,2001. My mother’s
name is Mrs. Ruhiya and my
father’s name is Mohammed. I was
born at the Tamale West Hospital.
3. A few years after I was born, I was
taken to school. The first school I
attended was Morning Star School
Complex. After a few years of my stay
there, I could not continue attending
that school because my parents could
not afford to pay the school fees In that
school. My parents took me to a school
called Lucky Complex School and I
continued from there. I attended some
part of my nursery education there.
4. The next school I attended was Wurishe
Darul Islam School. I attended the rest of my
nursery school there. After I completed that
school, I was taken to Bagabaga
Demonstration Primary School. After the
completion of my primary two (2), I was
again taken to Peace and Unity Educational
Home Complex. At that school, I was
supposed to be examined for primary three
instead I was examined for primary four.
5. Due to my hard work, perseverance and
by the grace of God, I was able to pass
my exams very well so I have never sat
for primary three during my primary
level. During my primary five and six
level, I had a problem with a particular
subject which was mathematics. My
teachers used to punish me severely
because I always failed their
mathematics tests and exams
6. In the term year of my stay in class six, I
had an accident with a tipper track. This
all happened when I came home from
school and decided to go and by myself
some food to eat. My grandma also
gave me some money to buy her cola
nut when I am coming back home. I
finished buying my food and went to
buy her cola nut a few yards from
where they sold the food.
7. When I got there, the woman who used
to sell the cola nut was delaying so I
decided to sit on my bicycle and wait for
her. As I was waiting, suddenly I heard
behind me people shouting. I turned my
face to see what was going on and a
tipper track suddenly hit me. I was rushed
to the hospital and I was given an
injection with an x-ray machine check-up.
I was treated locally so for few days I was
not able to go to school.
8. After my stay in primary six, I took part in an
entrance examination to the Junior High
School which was conducted by the
teachers. I came out successfully again so I
was given the chance to go to the Junior
High School. As I mentioned earlier, I used
to fail mathematics exams that my teachers
conducted. But in the first terminal
examination in my stay in form one, I
occupied the first position in mathematics
when it was ranked.
9. It really motivated me to work harder in
order to avoid failure in any mathematics
test. I did not only pass mathematics but I
also passed the rest of the subjects.
During the third term of my stay in form
two, I was elected as the Senior Prefect of
my school. I worked very hard with my
other members to maintain law and
order in the school and to also improve
upon the positive things which were
going on in the school.
10. Our teachers really prepared us very well
towards the Basic Education Certificate
Examination (BECE) conducted by the
West African Examination Council
(WAEC). When we wrote our BECE
examination, we came out with a lot of
single aggregates as graded by the West
African Examination Council. Thanks to
God and everybody who made that
possible.
