Guillermo Rodriguez has decades of experience in maritime activities from growing up in Cuba around boats and cargo businesses. He started a maritime law practice in 1968 in Miami, investigating cases that took him to ports around Central and South America and the Caribbean. In 2008, he founded International Port Corp. in Florida with the goal of being ready for business with Cuba when it opened up. The company acquired a sea terminal in Miami and obtained Coast Guard approval. It provided mooring and stevedoring services and applied for licenses to carry cargo to Cuba. The first historic trip from the company to Havana harbor was on July 11, 2012, making headlines around the world as the first cargo vessel to sail to Cuba in over 50 years, realizing

My experience on Maritime actives come from from growing in Cuba, with my family been
around boats, cargo Cabotage business ,Terminals In 1968 I joint a Law Firm in Miami, and with
the years and my knowledge of the Marine activities , we develop a Maritime Law Practice I was
the Chief Investigator , that took me to many Sea Ports and Country’s in Central America and
The Caribbean , and develop a very large group of Agents and Professionals, Port Directors,
Union Peoples,Company’s related to Ship Yards, Logistics, Etc, did it for more than 38 Years.
In July 30 2008 , I founded International Port Corp. in the State of Fl., always thinking that
Cuba at one point will open up for Bussines and we have to be ready, We acquired a Sea
Terminal in the Miami River, we when thru the process to be an A proved US Coast Guard
Facility, our services,Mooring services to Vessels in The River, and Stevedore services to Haiti
and Jamaica Cargo Ships, at the same time always looking at Cuba , we apply for the
Licenses that will allow us to Load and send Cargo Ships to Cuba, finally after some times , we
negotiated with Cuba and we were granted Permission to take Cargo Vessels to the Havana
Harbor, our first Historic trip was July 11, 2012, we were in the news all over the world because a
cargo Vessel sailing to Havana after more than 50 years. To me my dream came thru.
