I talk about my experience of OpenStreetMap, how I contribute, and how I help build the community on Hong Kong Open Source Conference 2017.
我在香港開源年會談個人在開放街圖的貢獻經驗,以及社群經營的方法和狀況。
This document discusses the growing importance of mobile web development and some of the key technologies enabling it. It highlights HTML5 features like local storage and the canvas element that allow richer applications to be created. It also introduces several JavaScript libraries that can be used for mobile development, including PhoneGap, which allows creating apps for multiple platforms. Examples are given of simple to complex graphics that can now be created with these technologies.
HTML5 is the latest revision of the HTML standard that aims to improve the language with support for the latest multimedia capabilities. It introduces many new features such as geolocation, web storage, web sockets, and canvas for 2D and 3D graphics. Developers can use these new features to build richer applications that work across devices while also improving semantics and markup.
My presentation at the Web Expo in Prague, Czech Republic about making our lives easier as developers by using libraries and building reusable components.
Ejemplos de sitios con HTML5 + CSS3 + jQueryjose diaz
This document lists examples of HTML5, jQuery, and CSS3 projects along with their URLs. It contains over 30 links to websites demonstrating various features that can be built with these technologies, including interactive games, visualizations, mobile apps, and marketing sites. The document is written in Spanish and concludes with the author's name and contact information.
The document discusses maps and mapping. It notes that most maps are products, maps become history, and maps can be made by people. It provides several links to websites about mapping such as OpenStreetMap and CloudMade maps. It encourages opening maps, using maps, and tracking everything, concluding by saying "Let's go!"
This document defines a mashup as a web application that combines data from multiple sources into a single integrated tool. An example given is adding location data from Google Maps to real estate listings. Mashups allow data to be "ripped, mixed, and burned" from various sources. The document then lists examples of existing mashups and outlines three steps to creating mashups: exploring data sources, building the mashup, and sharing it. Common data sources mentioned include APIs, web services, RSS feeds, and screen scraping.

The document discusses the rise of open geospatial data and tools, noting new sources of freely available mapping data from projects like OpenStreetMap as well as open-source GIS software like QGIS and GeoServer that allow users to access, analyze and visualize spatial data. Examples are given of how open data is being used for mapping, as well as resources for learning about and accessing open geospatial data and tools.
Sap bobj webi dynamic image display in webiArie Margono
The document discusses displaying dynamic images in SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence reports. It provides two methods for linking images to change based on the value of another field in the report. The first method uses the "boimg://" prefix to link to images located on the BusinessObjects server. The second method uses the full URL to link to images on an external web server. Both require creating a variable to build the image file path dynamically based on another field and setting the variable object properties to display as an image.
This document discusses Facebook's Open Graph protocol. It describes Open Graph as allowing developers to integrate apps and websites with Facebook by mapping objects outside of Facebook to graph objects inside Facebook. It provides examples of Open Graph metadata tags that can be used to define objects and connections. It also discusses the Graph API, which allows querying and retrieving Facebook graph objects and connections programmatically. Finally, it provides examples of how some companies have implemented Open Graph on their sites.
Effective Project Management using Social TechnologiesAna Neves
The document discusses effective project management using social technologies. It suggests that social tools can be used for social interactions during a project to achieve better performance, recognition for team members, work-life balance, and happiness. Using social technologies also allows for alignment with strategy, lower risk, higher quality, and better results. The presentation was given by Ana Neves at Social Now Europe 2016 in Lisbon.
The document discusses Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feeds, podcasting, mashups, and the future of Web 2.0. It provides an overview and resources for each topic. RSS feeds allow content from a website to be syndicated and updated on other sites. Podcasting involves distributing audio and video files over the Internet for playback on various devices. Mashups combine data from different sources. The future of Web 2.0 may include greater integration of tools/platforms and a focus on mobile and literacy skills. Students are assigned tasks related to developing an updated blog, mind map, and exploring additional RSS, podcast and mashup resources.
OpenStreetMap is a collaborative project to create a free editable map of the world. It provides street maps and geographic data that has helped rescue teams by giving them detailed maps. OpenStreetMap data is freely available and can be used on devices like GPS units and Kindle e-readers to provide maps for areas without commercial coverage.

Step out of the CMS box with me for a presentation on how freely available web2.0 tools such as twitter are used in my online course and could be used to enhance instruction in general. Tools will be demonstrated, uses will be discussed, and examples shown.
Online social networking, social computing, folksonomy/ social/ collaborative tagging, data mashups, ubiquitous broadband, wireless, hand-held and mobile computing, mobile broadband, and the cultural shift from passive consumers of content to engaged user-generators of content, have brought about a grassroots revolution: we have experienced a global democratization of access to tools, information, experts, content, professional development, and education as evinced by the open courseware and open source software initiatives that have changed how education is delivered, conducted, and defined.
It is important for those of us in the field of online education, as responsible netizens and educators in this moment, to participate, to evaluate, to document, and to expose our students to and engage them in this process. Effective online pedagogical/andragogical practices require that we use the online medium to achieve specific learning objectives and leverage the options and limitations of the online teaching and learning environment to make teaching and learning better, faster, safer, easier, and cheaper. It is not about immigrants vs. natives; it is about enhancing instruction with appropriate technologies that promote student engagement, interaction, and learning.
I incorporated these various web2.0 tools into the course for various reasons, but primarily to open the course boundaries beyond the CMS box to provide students with authentic social learning experiences. I also wanted student access to content they created and contributed to the class to persist beyond the end of the term. I will share with participants the lessons learned as I experimented with ways to enhance online instruction. Student survey results and comments will be presented.
The document discusses a presentation about multimedia mash-ups and the third project. It provides an agenda for the presentation, which includes an introduction to mash-ups, adjusting project designs, breaks, and feedback sessions. Students are instructed to rebuild their applications as mash-ups by adding data from sources like Google Maps, Amazon, Flickr and YouTube to add value. Questions are welcomed and further resources are provided.
1. The document discusses Facebook's API development including an overview of the Graph API and FQL, authentication methods, and both current and future uses of social data.
2. It provides details on the Graph API's RESTful design that makes all objects accessible via URLs and allows querying of connections between objects.
3. FQL is described as an SQL-like syntax for complex queries across Facebook objects and methods to reduce response sizes and condense queries.
The document appears to be a log of page requests made to various websites and domains over a period of time on September 5, 2016. This includes requests to news websites like telegraphindia.com, social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter, and requests associated with online advertising and analytics.
This document contains a list of 20 web page URLs from various Mongolian websites, including registration sites, news sites, educational institutions, and social networking profiles. Real-Time Machine Learning with Node.js - Philipp Burckhardt, Carnegie Mellon...NodejsFoundation
Real-time machine learning provides statistical methods to obtain actionable, immediate insights in settings where data becomes available in sequential order. After providing an overview of state of the art real-time machine learning algorithms, we discuss how these algorithms can be leveraged from within a Node.js application. We will see why the powerful API of the core stream module makes Node.js a more attractive platform for such tasks compared to languages traditionally used for scientific computing such as R, Python or Julia. Finally, we will discuss best-practices and common pitfalls that one faces when using these algorithms.
This document contains a list of various URLs and web links on different topics including: e-learning, online courses, Linux, word processors, physics formulas, astronomy, computer science, shopping applications, barcode scanning, robotics, and game development. Many of the links are broken or outdated. The document seems to be collecting various online references but lacks context or overall organization.

How to Make a Field Mandatory in Odoo 17Celine George
In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.

Statics of my contribution
Footprints not only in Taiwan, and in East Asia
Mix of Road name in Taiwan, some roads with Chinese and English combined, and others only in Chinese
Using some magic (API tricks) to get data out, then using text editor with regular expression To make the local road name in the main name field, English road names in the English language field, and tne Chinese name in the Chinese name field
Make the abbreviation form into the full name
Now adding Roads without English name.
