I hereby apply for the above mentioned position .I am currently working for Johnson and Johnson
(East London) as a GMP/ Compliance officer in Manufacturing Department. I have more 12 years
working experience in an Analytical Laboratory. (Pharmaceuticals/Food and Cosmetic’s
environment), working as a Safety Rep and working and overseeing Good Manufacturing Practices
and Compliance in Manufacturing. My duties are to implement ,coordinate and sustain quality
systems and GMP principles in production facility, by developing a quality culture on production
shop floor through continuous communication, training and system development interface between .
I am directly involved when there is an EHS Audit, therefore I have knowledge of ISO 9001,
OHSAS 18001,E-Mark SABS 1841 and Medicines Control Council legislation. I have training on
Incident Investigation. I create safety awareness by complying Weekly Stops , and train employees
so that employees can be involved and take ownership as well. I am also an Emergency Evacuation
monitor. I am part of the East London site Fire Fighting committee team.
I have also been nominated as the Secretary for East London EHS Committee. I manage ordering of
chemicals, gases and instruments. I co-ordinate Good Laboratory Practice and waste management in
the lab. My interest in this position will enhance my skills and development on my short and long
term goals to specialize in EHS management.
