5. Salduve’s Hill Many years ago there was a wooden castle on the top of this hill. Now the hill is surrounded by pine trees. Some city festivals are held in this place.

9. The square of Golden Boy This bronze statue shows three symbols of the town : the Sun , the Archer and the Time which has passed from the first time the name of the town was mentioned.

11. The statue of Aušra This statue was built in 2003 near the park. The author of this statue is Dalia Matulaitė.

12. St. Paul and Peter’s Cathedral It was built at the beginning of XVII century. On the southern wall of this church you can see one of the oldest sun clocks in Lithuania which shows the correct time .

13. The memorial for Sun battle It was built for the honour of the victory of Sun battle which was one of the most important events in the history of Lithuania.

14. Fountain ,,Solar disks” It was opened on 1 st October, 2006 during the 770 birthday of Šiauliai city. The name for this fountain was offered not only by the citezens of Siauliai city but also by the Lithuanians who live abroad.

15. The square of Rooster’s Clock It is in the center in the city and welcomes the people who come to Siauliai. The text of welcome sounds in English, German, French, Russian, Spanish, Swedish and other languages at 12 and 6 pm.
