3. Kristyn and I met about three years ago when my sister and her dad became best friends.. I actually can’t remember how we met, exactly, all I know is that ours was one of those instantaneous friendships. Every time we hang out, we spend hours talking about what’s going on in our lives, and our different schools. We eat a ton of chocolate and watch every Disney movie I own (which is all of them). It’s a little hard to explain how we made it happen, we just did. Somehow we get along really well all of the time: There’s nothing difficult about a friendship with girls who could practically be twins. I mean, we are so alike it’s not even funny. My favorite part so far has been when my parents get us mixed up. We even act the same at times. Really really hyper and then we kind of sink back down. But see, the thing is that when we are hanging out together, we know that we don’t have to worry about whether or not we will tell someone else some random secret. It’s one of those weird things, where we are happy we don’t go to the same school because if we did we would know the same things, it would be boring to talk about our days because they would be the same. And, we would always know what’s gong on. But this way, we can just chill out and have fun laughing at different things that happen in our own lives. I like having a friend that goes to a different school because it kind of mixes things up a little, and makes life a little less boring. We always know what each other is thinking and everything. It’s one of those best friendships that no one else understands because we don’t even get it! =) But it works, so we don’t fix what ain’t broken. It just wastes the time that we could be spending watching “The Little Mermaid” or “Aladdin” or “Tarzan” and eating chocolate. Which, we all know that wasting time doing that is just blasphemous. 10. Lots of things in commonSarah and I have a great friendship because we get along really well. We never argue and we love just teasing each other. We always have fun in class together, laughing in tech and drawing pictures in Algebra. It’s always one of my favorite parts of the day. I’ve known her since our freshman year. We always text, all the time, and we have fun irritating people by texting them pictures of stuff. It’s just the best. I just like having fun and talking about stuff that doesn’t make sense and laughing passes the time when I’m bored, so Sarah always makes things happier and brighter.

16. Olivia and I are good friends because we get along really well and we love hanging out in mock trial. We met three years ago during a music recital because she takes voice lessons from the same teacher I used to go to for violin lessons. After that we figured out we were actually going to the same school and then we were kind of like “Wow!” when we saw each other in mock trial when we tried out for it last year. After that we became best friends because we just kind of started to hang out more often during practices and talking more. Apart from getting along we have a lot in common and we love acting stupid and retarded. We can go from being really really serious to being super funny and dumb and over-the-top silly in twelve seconds, it feels like. We just have a good friendship. It was built out of necessity because we didn’t know anyone else on the team and now we just like being around each other, in mock trial at least.

19. Will and I have known each other since freshman year. We are friends because we tease each other and have fun ‘arguing’ when we really debate over different things that we disagree on just so we can argue. We spend English every day talking and playing hangman(which he sucks at) and making fun of the stories we are reading.

22. Rissa and I are good friends because we like to laugh at dumb stuff whenever we hang out together. It’s just fun. I mean, it’s one of those things that doesn’t make sense but it’s okay, because it doesn’t really have to, does it? It’s just one of those things. We like to hang out together and we love being in the same civics class, especially since we aren’t really friends with anyone else in that class, so it’s nice having someone that you know is a real friend in a class. It makes life better. We met last year in freshman year but she had to leave and be homeschooled so until this year, she and I hadn’t seen each other in a few months.

25. James and I met in March when he first started training at the same studio as me. We started texting and then we wound up being really close friends, and when he joined the team we got even closer. We were really close for a while. We do get along still. I liked being friends with him because we could talk about any and everything, and we did. Now I still trust him, which helps because in the studio I have to know that he’s going to do what he’s supposed to and on time with some of the stuff we do on the team because if we didn’t trust each other, we could cause a lot of serious physical injury. It takes a long time to build trust in someone to know that they won’t drop you or won’t move at the wrong time and end up letting you get hurt.

28. Annie and I met in January ‘09 when I first started at the studio. She and I can talk about anything and everything. We get along really well and I love training with her because we can push each other to keep going and we can help each other tweak the things that need fixing. We are also the only two girls on the team, which is small, but still. It’s hard to be on the team. And there are only a few girls in the studio so that brings us closer together, being able to see eye-to-eye.

31. I met Chad in January 2009 when I started taking lessons in the studio. Ever since then I have always looked to him for help and guidance. He is an instructor and he is really patient and sweet and kind. His son is a friend of mine, and his daughter is one of my favorite students in the tiger class. I teach her all the time. He always has faith in himself and everyone else. A lot of things are going on in his life right now, but it’s going to be okay because I think that if God were to listen to anybody, it would be Chad. He’s just that kind of a guy. He never asks for anything for him, always for everyone else. The most I’ve ever heard him say he wants is the strength to get through a hard time. Every time I doubt myself, or my abilities in the studio, he pushes me harder than anyone else to train harder and longer, and by the end of the night he can look at me and then spar with me or something and show me how much progress I made. Chad’s just like that ray of sunshine on a really dark, cloudy day. He kind of makes the storm go away for a little while so that you can just breathe for a while. He’s the perfect friend to have, and he’s friends with everybody. I love Chad for lots of reasons, but I think these are some of the biggest-he’s so upbeat.

35. Bre and I just have fun hanging out together. We have known each other since we were little, because we have always gone to the same church. We train together in the studio, laugh together in school, play games together in youth group, and make fun of strangers together whenever we hang out. I know it’s mean, but we are never cruel. We just have fun. We are always sarcastic. Seriously, there is never just a straight up comment with us, it’s always sarcasm. I think we might die if we couldn’t be sarcastic. I love Bre, and I think we will always be friends. And she loves me too, most days.

38. Amanda and I like being able to hang out and have fun with her son, Bryce, while we cook or just talk or something. She’s actually my brothers’ best friend’s wife, but we met and we were able to be friends because we can both take teasing really well, and we know that we love each other. I honestly do think that she looks at me like a little sister. I don’t know how we managed to become so close, but we did. We forever are playing SuperMarioBrothers for the wii when she and her husband, Aaron, and Bryce come over to eat and hang out for a while. It’s cool that even though they are my brother’s friends we are still friends within the whole family, too. I t’s great, because we do like to be around each other. They are also a family of farmers; a lot of the fields around Stanly County are owned by them. They raise cotton and corn. When we are together we always ask for the update on how everything is going with the farm stuff. I love it. And I love her!
