2. Hey There Delilah – Plain White T’s
• Video will open with Lucy walking down the road on her own – first a long shot to show Lucy’swhole body and the
backgroundand then a close of her eyes and her feet walking on the pavement. The opening titles will show and
then fade. There will then be a long shot again with Lucy’sback facing the camera as she walks on the left side of
the shot and then Harrison will enter from the left and standstill watching her walk away also with his back facing
the camera and then set off to follow her
• Hey there Delilah, what's it like in New York City?
• Harrison will be looking longingly at an Instagrampost posted by Lucy in his room. It will be dark with the only light
coming from his screen. We will only see his back, hands and a closeup of his eyes as he is a faceless character.
• I'm a thousandmiles away, but girl, tonightyou look so pretty
• Yes, you do
• Harrison then gets out his phone to open snapchat and look at Lucy’s Bitmoji on snap maps. Hers is the only one
seen.
• Times Square can't shine as brightas you, I swear it's true
• We then get a close-up of Harrisons eyes and then a mid-shot of his back and the computer screen making a
silhouette.
• Hey there, Delilah, don't you worry aboutthe distance
I'm right there if you get lonely, give this song anotherlisten, close your eyes
• Lucy is in her bedroom dancing listening to music – we see a close of her eyes closed and her body moving in and
out of frame as she is dancing
• Listento my voice, it's my disguise
• Long shot of outside the house – everything is in darkness except a bedroom light
I'm by your side
• Harrison will step into frame covering the light – we only see his silhouette.
3. • Oh, it's what you do to me
Oh, it's what you do to me
Oh, it's what you do to me
Oh, it's what you do to me
What you do to me
• Each line will show Lucy in different scenes without care or doing
daily tasks and then on the word “me” will be a close of Harrison’s
eyes or lips showing a grimace – he isn’t happy she can be without
him
• Hey there Delilah, I know times are getting hard
• Lucy is now in a store/bar and going to pay – there is a close of her
reaching into her wallet for money and getting her card out. She stops
and hesitates before going to pay
But just believe me, girl, someday I'll pay the bills with this guitar
• Harrisons hand is seen reaching over Lucy’s and pays with his card.
4. • We'll have it good
• Lucy looks up at Harrison very confused – close of her face giving an
awkward smile and turns around walking away
• We'll have the life we knew we would, my word is good
• We see a close of Harrison’s lips smiling back and then his eyes watching
Lucy walk away – then a mid-shot of Harrison’s back walking in the
direction Lucy went
• Hey there Delilah, I've got so much left to say
• If every simple song I wrote to you would take your breath away
• Harrison rushes into his bedroom and sits at the computer again – there
are now candid pictures of Lucy taken obviously without her knowledge
around the computer and on the floor
• I'd write it all
• Even more in love with me you'd fall, we'd have it all
• Harrison is seen opening a word document and begins typing – a close up
of his eyes that are lit up by the screen
5. • Oh, it's what you do to me
Oh, it's what you do to me
Oh, it's what you do to me
Oh, it's what you do to me
• Harrison is seen in a mid-shot of his walking up a path approaching Lucys house –
Lucy then opens the door looking very confused and Harrisons hand is held out
giving her a note and some flowers which will have different representations
linking to love – She begins reading it and then looks up slowly very confused and
scared – She begins shaking her head and starts to close the door when Harrisons
hands a spread out pleading with her – We see from behind Harrison banging his
fists on her door and eventually falls to his knees
• A thousand miles seems pretty far
• But they've got planes and trains and cars
• I'd walk to you if I had no other way
• Harrison storms into his room and begins to throw things on the floor in
frustration and pulling at his hair screaming. He looks down at a picture of Lucy
that has fallen and picks it up – a close up of his eyes just staring at the picture
6. • Our friends would all make fun of us
• And we'll just laugh along because
• We know that none of them have felt this way
• Harrison is seen rushing to Lucys house he stumbles on the way and
people are spotted laughing at him but he keeps walking and ignores
them.
• Delilah, I can promise you that by the time we get through
• The world will never ever be the same, and you're to blame
• Close up of Harrisons hands climbing through the kitchen window
and then of his feet as he climbs up the stairs. We also see his eyes
looking around frantically almost like he is on drugs – The words “and
you’re to blame” Harrison opens the bedroom door and Lucy is sat in
bed and looks up in shock.
7. • Hey there Delilah, you be good and don't you miss me
Two more years and you'll be done with school
And I'll be making history
Like I do
• Harrison is washing his hands in the sink and then walks back into
Lucy’s room where he looks around – he is very calm. We see Lucy is
laying on the floor. Her face and clothes are ruined with blood.
• You'll know it's all because of you
We can do whatever we want to
Hey there Delilah, here's to you
This one's for you
• Harrison bends down and strokes Lucy’s hair which is caked in blood –
a close up of a smile on his face. He walks around the room picking
things up and inspecting them before putting them back down. He
leaves the room
8. • Oh, it's what you do to me
• Oh, it's what you do to me
• Oh, it's what you do to me
• Oh, it's what you do to me
• What you do to me
• Oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh
• Harrison leaves the house and stands in the door looking around
(mid-shot) this is the first time we see his face fully and clear on shot.
He is no longer faceless because he can walk away with no
repercussions or punishment and go on with his life whilst there are
very quick flashes of close ups of Lucys body on the floor as he walks
away and when the music video fades away a close up of Lucy’s hands
are seen and they twitch then the video ends. Black Screen will show
white band logo.
