In talking with meeting planners and attendees across the globe, we learned that customers are becoming more and more savvy and their expectations of meetings have changed. They are more global, mobile, social, and collaborative, and they expect meetings to reflect their high expectations.
For meeting planners, that means that the job just got harder. We’re faced with a customer base that is more aware and more demanding. Many attendees grew up in a digital age, and they never knew a world where they weren’t constantly connected. Attendees expect the meeting experience to match the way they want to meet, connect, and use technology.
However, at times, meetings can feel predictable. In fact, people told us that meetings are becoming less relevant to them. We know that the world around us is changing and meetings need to keep pace.

We are not just focused on tables and chairs and logistics. We are putting people first. We start by understanding the purpose of the meeting, and we put people at the center of the entire meeting experience.

We believe that when we understand the purpose of your meeting, we can do a better job of designing and making recommendations for a better event. Ultimately, we believe that understanding your purpose will enable us to deliver exceptional meetings that connect, motivate, and inspire people.
Based on our deep experience with meetings and conversations with meeting planners around the globe, we have identified a set of common meeting purposes to help guide the way we design your meeting and bring your vision to life.

Meeting Services App, it’s our multi-brand communications platform that allows customers to connect with their Red Coat in real time. It’s deployed globally in 20 languages and available for all full service brands and Courtyard. In 2015, we’ll be testing and deploying additional functionality including Billing.
Mobile guest services – people today are accustomed to doing everything through their mobile phones. Mobile Guest Services is a platform for us to be able to deliver a variety of services through mobile devices such as mobile check-in and check out and eventually even the ability to order room service through the phone.
ResLink Direct - provides a reservation link that helps meeting and event attendees book their group contracted rate online.
MeetingsImagined.com is a website that supports Marriott’s global meeting strategy --- Meetings Imagined.
It is the industry’s first visual, social and collaborative website to change the way customers shop, buy and plan meetings and is unmatched by any competitor. This award winning website ---- starting with the purpose of the meeting or event --- to inspire and design using new ideas.
From large-scale meetings or events to small simple gatherings, MeetingsImagined.com is a place to get inspiration for events of all shapes and sizes.
Meeting Services App (MSA) places meetings management at the fingertips of meeting planners. At the touch of a button, planners connect in real-time with a hotel's event staff on any web-enabled device 24/7. Event staff can enhance the service they provide before, during, and after events in a manner appealing to today’s mobile planners. Multiple planners can request, review and share responses to ensure their event success.
MSA is part of the suite of branded meeting services apps available at nearly 600 Marriott, JW Marriott, Renaissance and select Autograph hotels, providing planners with a familiar platform, yet a distinct brand experience. At Marriott Hotels (“Red Coat Direct”), JW Marriott Hotels (“JW Event Concierge”), Renaissance Hotels (“R.E.N Meetings Expert”), “((chime))” at The Ritz-Carlton, Meeting Services app at Autograph Collection Hotels, and the Courtyard app “Connect” is available at select hotels worldwide.
Our competitors have tried to offer services on mobile devices, and the results have been inconsistent. To stay ahead of the competition, Marriott created the Mobile App. By leveraging the power of our award-winning Rewards programs, together with flawless execution on property, we will deepen our relationship with our guest, by allowing them to communicate with us the way they prefer.
Using this app on their mobile device, the Marriott Rewards member has the ability to:
• Book and manage hotel reservations at over 4,000 hotels
• Check in before their trip and receive an enhanced arrival experience
• Receive Room Ready Alerts
• Check out and receive their hotel bill via email
• Make special requests for early check-in, extra pillows or towels, high or low floor, etc.
• Call a hotel (if supported by the device)
• Find hotels near them with GPS functionality
• Browse hotel photos, maps, and amenities
• Browse city guides with helpful tips about the destinations
• and they can enroll quickly in Marriott Rewards and save preferences
The app is currently available in English, Spanish, German, French, and Mandarin -----offering ease of use globally.
ResLink Direct is a reservation link that helps meeting planners to promote their event, and attendees to book their group contracted rate online using their laptop, tablet or mobile device. This digital experience has been enhanced and is now even better… making creating a ResLink Direct fast and easy to do ---through a simple 3-step process taking under one minute for associates!
ResLink Direct is FREE to our customers and to our hotels. It is responsive to ALL mobile devices, available to ALL hotels globally (except Ritz-Carlton) and offers the customer six languages --- English, French, German, Spanish, Mandarin and Japanese --- breaking through language barriers. It can often be a competitive differentiator when closing business.
Using ResLink Direct to promote your event will:
Allow attendees to easily book their group room reservation on Marriott.com and/or global domains using only ONE ResLink Direct (Only one ResLink Direct is needed for up to 10 rate codes and up to 10 hotels)
Provide a personalized reservation page for the meeting or event with the hotel, arrival and departure dates, and special group code
Make it easy to e-mail the ResLink Direct to attendees or post the link to their own web-site
Minimize potential attrition fees associated with attendees booking around the group block
