2. How We Work
We commence every engagement with a diagnostic evaluation of the clients own business. This includes taking
all their data and drilling down to find singular compelling insights. The diagnosis can also include some “softer
measures” based on current, lapsed and non-customer feedback about the business and it’s offerings. We call
this stage the “Growth Probe”.
At the conclusion of the Growth Probe, clients can then engage with M&T on an ongoing basis via two levels.
On an “Advisory“ basis we will work with the client and their internal teams to develop a strategy to move the
business into growth mode. We create actions from the insights gathered at the Growth Probe phase and mesh
these into a multi-year road map.
We also set up the dashboards for the business to measure its core KPI’s. Our role is collaborative and we work to a
set of transparent objectives. We often work with enterprises to provide capabilities they may not have internally.
Taking the Advisory role to a full activation level, we can also be engaged in a “Managed Service Growth
Partnership” capacity. This involves bringing our own internal and partner resources in to implement the multi-
year plan.
These resources include digital, branding, research, data mining, and communication capabilities.

4. John Neal
Partner, Singapore and Australia
John’s career spans over 35 years and has seen him
at the helm of multiple innovative projects and highly
successful global agencies. His notable ability lies
in taking an idea to market and generating rapid
growth and sustainable returns.
In 2001 he founded media agency Carat in
Melbourne, Australia in a joint venture with UK based
Aegis Plc. The business quickly grew to $150 million
capitalised billings and was bought by Aegis 100% in
2005. During his time at Carat it was awarded Agency
of the Year over 3 successive years.
John has held senior media roles and served on the
board of global media agency groups including
WPP and Omnicom. His unique business acumen
is anchored by a strong belief in nurturing his client
relationships and taking a collaborative approach
to strategy and innovation. He founded MT Capital
(renamed MT Growth Partners) in 2005 in Australia
and moved to set up the business in Singapore in 2013.
Muhammad Alkhatib
Digital Managing Director, Singapore
Muhammad has a long career in the digital agency
business having run his company Wiz Werx for over 12
years. The company has a client portfolio that includes
many leading South East Asian corporates. Muhammad
provides the full suite of digital resources for MT and
it’s clients, and is also a key partner in our Business
Incubation division.
Tim Stanford
Partner, Australia
Tim launched MT Capital in Australia in 2005 believing
he had a better growth model for aligning the interests
of clients and services, with a focus on outcomes first
and foremost, then process.
Prior to this, he spent 17 years internationally with
Cadbury Schweppes across Europe, Asia and most
recently in Australia. As Marketing Director – Cadbury
Schweppes ANZ Tim achieved sales growth of $200
million (up to a total of $1.3 billion) managing one of the
largest marketing budgets in Australia and New Zealand.
His speciality is commercial marketing and operations.
Julian Cheong
Partner, Singapore
Julian obtained his A.B. in English (Honors) and
Quantitative Economics from Stanford University in
1992. From 1992 to 1999 he was a member of the
Singapore Government’s Administrative Service where
his postings included MediaCorp, the Prime Minister’s
Office and the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
He then spent over 12 years as an investment
banker largely with Goldman Sachs, briefly with
Lehman Brothers/Nomura and also the Royal Bank
of Scotland. As a frontline practitioner, he has been
involved from pitch to execution in US$30bn worth
of landmark MA transactions as well as US$10bn in
financings throughout both North and Southeast Asia.
He has broad sectorial experience and particular
expertise in the Financial Institutions space.
Alex Antony
Actuarial Analyst, Australia
An Actuarial Science graduate from the University of
Melbourne, Alex applies Mathematical and Statistical
methods to assess Risk and Return, thereby enabling
Predictive Analytics through the use of deterministic
models.
Alex has been a very successful direct sales consultant
and placed 2nd in the All Australia Investment
Competition in 2009, highlighting his abilities in analysing
share price trends. His diverse skill set and hands on
approach to analytical modelling make Alex the ‘math
engine’ behind the analytical component of the MT
model.
