Oliver Ndegwa started a coffee shop in 2019 in Nairobi, Kenya. In 2020, the COVID pandemic halted his plans to expand, so he searched for a new space and found an empty kiosk in a car wash that he converted using pallet wood. A stranger offered him an espresso machine to use for 4 months. Now Oliver wants to establish coffee training centers, set up coffee shops across Kenya to promote local coffee, and use emotional marketing to connect Kenyans to their country's "gold" - coffee. His goal is to create a culture where Kenyans take pride in and support their own locally grown and produced coffee.
