I. Why are there no women in Lord of the Flies?
   1. Placing only men on the island.

II. Could Golding be racist or sexist?
    1. Only boys on there are white and British.

III. How women are important to include.
     1. Make up half of the population
     2. Allegorical – all of humanity, yet wipes out an entire gender

IV. In the book..
    1. The only women are the sows.
    2. Boys seem to come from boarding school.
    3. “Merridew.”
    4. Rape of the sow.

V. Conclusion
   1. “Simon's 'only us.”



                                          2nd Letter.

VI. Boys have more of a tendency towards violence.
   1. Men have started war in the past
   2. Men = boys on the island
   3. “Boys will be boys.”

VII. If anything, it's a compliment!
   1. Women are thought of as more tender of the human species.
   2. Less drawn to savagery

VIII. British boys are thought of being nice and polite
   1. From a private school

IX. Give me a break, the male gender is all I know.
   1. Golding = man.
   2. Heaven forbid he portray women correctly.
