Mother Teresa was born in 1910 in Macedonia and founded the Missionaries of Charity in 1950 in India to help the poor and sick. As her charity grew, she helped people all over the world. In 1979, she received the Nobel Peace Prize for her humanitarian work. Though she is no longer alive, her charity continues her work of serving the sick and poor.
