research in several key areas across four dedicated tracks. Talks will look to cover the development of scaffold
technology for both soft and hard tissues, and the novel biomaterials used in their construction, new platforms for
Biofabrication, tissue culture techniques, advances in hydrogels in regenerative medicine, and recent developments in
stem cell research. There will also be a track dedicated to the exciting developing field of organ fabrication, reviewing
recent advances and challenges to be overcome.

2017 CALENDAR
Prof. C. Palanivelu
It gives me immense pleasure to introduce 2017 to you with an
immense academic material. GEM has always been the forerunner in laparoscopic training and we are privileged to have trained who are now some of the best, not just in India but outside too.
Laparoscopy is now more standardised and accepted, but at the same time is becoming more challenging too. The days are gone where surgeons used to experiment and learn themselves.
Hence we have evolved with a ALL NEW FORMAT for laparoscopic training, especially giving more HANDS ON EXPERIENCE so that one could get back with more confidence.
All kinds of courses starting from basic laparoscopy to more specialised courses have been designed by the respective departments at GEM. Unlike conferences and training
programs of the past, here the operating room will be where most of your training is bound to happen.
In these training courses you would have opportunity to experience live Laparoscopic surgeries in 4k & 3D
No matter whether you are a General Surgeon or a Specialist Surgical Gastroenterologist or a Surgical Oncologist, laparoscopy is today an integral part of General & GI Surgery.

2. th International Advanced Applied Laparoscopic Urology and
Mini-laparoscopy Symposium - 6 April 2013, Moscow, Russia
Dear colleagues & friends.
This is our great pleasure to inform you that you are cordially invited to
attend to “22nd International Applied Advanced Laparoscopic Urology and
Mini-laparoscopy Symposium” which will be held in Moscow-Russia on 4 to
6 April 2013, in the Training Center of Civil Aviation Hospital. We are highly
honored to host this Course and Symposium in Moscow for the first time
and we have prepared a unique program for the interested urologists who
have both initial and advanced experience.
During the first 2 days of the training course supported by ESUT (4-5 April
2013) you are going through both lectures and hand-on training with dry-
lab boxes, virtual simulators and most unusual, assistance in living human
operation with an experienced surgeon. The ESUT laparoscopy training
group experts Prof. Özgök (president of applied laparoscopic urology
courses), Prof. Bachmann, Prof. Tunc and Prof. Gözen will attend the
course. At the end of the course you are going to receive a hard disk with
the video of your operation with comments of the surgeon as well as the set
of educational videos (standard laparoscopic operations in urology).
As the topic of Symposium (6 April 2013) we choose Mini-laparoscopy
technique that is presented by its pioneer: Prof. Porpiglia from Italy who
will share his experience and discuss pro and contra with leading Russian
laparoscopy surgeons.
Live surgery sessions, attractive discussions – and special prizes for most
advanced trainees.
We’re looking forward to seeing you in Moscow.
Sincerely yours,
Eduard Gallyamov
