Dear colleagues & friends.

This is our great pleasure to inform you that you are cordially invited to
attend to “22nd International Applied Advanced Laparoscopic Urology and
Mini-laparoscopy Symposium” which will be held in Moscow-Russia on 4 to
6 April 2013, in the Training Center of Civil Aviation Hospital. We are highly
honored to host this Course and Symposium in Moscow for the first time
and we have prepared a unique program for the interested urologists who
have both initial and advanced experience.

During the first 2 days of the training course supported by ESUT (4-5 April
2013) you are going through both lectures and hand-on training with dry-
lab boxes, virtual simulators and most unusual, assistance in living human
operation with an experienced surgeon. The ESUT laparoscopy training

group experts Prof. Özgök (president of applied laparoscopic urology
courses), Prof. Bachmann, Prof. Tunc and Prof. Gözen will attend the
course. At the end of the course you are going to receive a hard disk with
the video of your operation with comments of the surgeon as well as the set
of educational videos (standard laparoscopic operations in urology).

As the topic of Symposium (6 April 2013) we choose Mini-laparoscopy
technique that is presented by its pioneer: Prof. Porpiglia from Italy who
will share his experience and discuss pro and contra with leading Russian
laparoscopy surgeons.

Live surgery sessions, attractive discussions – and special prizes for most
advanced trainees.

THE NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS

40 trainees with basic and middle level of laparoscopy skills.

12 trainers with 3 and more years’ experience in urology laparoscopy.

THE NUMBER OF GROUPS:
8 groups of 5 trainees and 2 trainers each (Groups A, B, C, D, E, F G, H).

Groups A, B, C, D – coming from Turkey and Germany (English and Turkish speaking).
Groups E, F G, H – coming from Russia (English and Russian speaking).

DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE:
This 2-day course includes video-lectures, hands-on training with dry-lab boxes (E-BLUS,
Heilbronn training, Abbou training), a virtual simulator and assistance in living human
operation with experienced surgeon.

All living surgery can be seen with feedback in the internet translation via free urology portal

www.uro.tv. During the translation any user can ask a question and have an answer from the
surgeon and a moderator.

The language of the course is English, the language of internet translation-Russian and
English.

THE UNIQUE FEATURE:
During the course every trainee takes part in a living operation with an experienced surgeon.
At the end of the course the trainees receive the external hard disk with the video of his operation
as well as the set of educational videos (standard laparoscopic operations in urology)

EDUCATIONAL FEATURES:
To stimulate the trainees to acquire knowledge «training-scores» are proposed: a set of time-
limited exercises are given and following check with training-scores calculation is performed.
Every day the best trainee of a group is encouraged by performance an operation in pig`s
kidney complex in blood-like fluid pump-simulator.

Trainees are discharged in the groups according to the level of laparoscopy skills for
choosing optimal type of operation for assistance.

At the end of the course every trainee receives the external hard disk with the video of
his operation with comments and recommendations of the surgeon. At the disk the set of
educational videos (standard laparoscopic operations in urology) is recorded as well.

COURSE EQUIPMENT FEATURES:
The training center is situated at the 9-th floor of Civil Aviation Central Clinical Hospital

and contains 3 dry-lab rooms with 5 dry-boxes each, 1 dry-lab room with 4 dry-boxes and
a simulator, an 80-person conference hall with direct translation from operating rooms and
auxiliary facilities. The operation rooms are situated at the ground floor, one of them is equipped
with 3-D Karl Storz video camera.
