Since I was litlle I
wanted to go to
study abroad, to
gain experience and
improve my english.
My dad did not
want to because he
wanted me next to
him like always.
At the end, my
mum and I
convinced him.
I applied for 3
different boarding
schools in the east
coast of United states.

After doing several interviews I
finally chose Kents Hill school,
because the campus was amazing
(it has a ski hill) and because the
teacher who interviewed me gave
me a good image of the school.
Ski lodge, where I had
my ski practices

Bearce, the principal building,
where I had my history classes
Reed, one of the dorms where I slept

DAY

What most scarred me was who was going to be
my roomate for the whole year. It ended up that
she was a Canadian girl one year older than me (
16 years old). She was kind, friendlly and we
became best friends from the first day.
1ST DAY
OF CLASSES
• They gave me my schedule
• I met my teachers and
class mates
• I went to my first moarning
meeting
• I bough all my school stuff
in the bookstore…

The worst thing would be at
lunch time. Most o them
knew each other but I didnt,
so I was scarred because I
didn´t want to eat alone. I
wanted to make friends.
Everyone was so nice! In a
couple of days I had my group
of friends and everyone knew
me with the nickname of the
spanish girl.
IN KENTS HILL SCHOOL I…
• Learned english and french. In fact, I
went with my french class to Quebec to
practice my french
• Did horse back riding, ski and lacross.
• Went to prom (not common in Spain)
• Visited Boston several
times, New York and
Chicago
During my stay in KH I
made friends from all
around the
world:Canada, Germany,
England, Korea, Mexico,
Panama, USA, South
Africa…
When graduation day
came, I could not imagine
what I would do without
all these people with
whom I had been for the
whole year.
