Wikipedia is often the top search result and can be used to collect ideas and create an outline for a topic, as it may provide references to other scholarly sources at the bottom of the page that could also be used. However, Wikipedia should not be the sole source and other sources should be explored by scrolling down the search results or exploring links from the Wikipedia page.

Carla is afraid of spiders and screams whenever she sees one. Her brother Carl puts a tarantula in Carla's pink makeup bag as a prank. When Carla opens the bag, she sees the spider and screams in fear. Now Carla is afraid of anything resembling a pink makeup bag. Daniel loves watching Sesame Street but his friends tried to break this habit. They hid under his bed dressed as Sesame Street characters and jumped out to scare him. Now Daniel cries whenever he sees anything related to Sesame Street.

1) A girl who felt happy whenever she found strawberries in a brown bag her mother brought home every Monday. As an adult, she now feels happy when she sees a brown bag on a Monday.
2) A boy whose brother glued his goggles as a prank. He panicked when he couldn't remove them and ripped them off, removing his eyebrows. He is now afraid of goggles and similar items.
Mod 5 consciousness
There are different levels of consciousness that psychologists refer to, including the conscious mind which we are immediately aware of, the preconscious mind which contains memories we can access if needed, the subconscious mind which contains thoughts we are not fully aware of, and the unconscious mind which contains thoughts we have no awareness of. Our bodies pass through each of these levels multiple times per day. We experience biological rhythms like the circadian rhythm that influences our daily sleep-wake cycle, as well as ultradian and infradian rhythms that affect processes over periods less than or greater than one day respectively. Sleep consists of alternating cycles of REM and non-REM sleep that are important for rest, memory consolidation, and other functions.

Erik Erikson expanded on Freud's theory of psychosexual development by proposing eight stages of psychosocial development that span the entire human lifespan. Each stage presents an important crisis or challenge centered around developing trust, autonomy, initiative, identity and more. Successful completion of each stage leads to healthy development and a strong sense of self, while failure to master challenges increases vulnerability to difficulties in later life. Erikson viewed human growth and personality as continuously developing through social interaction and environmental influences at each stage.
Mod 3 development
1. Development occurs through a combination of nature (genetics and biology) and nurture (environment and experiences).
2. Early childhood is marked by rapid physical and cognitive development, including the formation of attachments to caregivers which impact socioemotional development.
3. Development continues throughout the lifespan with stages of emerging adulthood, middle adulthood, and late adulthood each presenting new tasks and challenges.
The brain and nervous system(1)
The document provides an overview of the structure and function of the nervous system. It discusses how neurons are the basic building blocks and how they communicate via electrical and chemical signals. It describes the main parts of the nervous system including the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord), peripheral nervous system, and autonomic nervous system. How to submit an assignment
Students are reminded to fully submit assignments for grading rather than as drafts, as submitting as drafts does not indicate to the teacher if the assignment is complete and ready to be graded. The teacher will mark assignments as drafts if corrections are needed. Students are asked to view example pictures to learn how to correctly submit assignments for grading, including naming files in an easily locatable format such as "M8L1 Notes".

If you scroll down you will see other sources available, many of them scholarly. Wikipedia can be used to help you collect ideas and create your outline. IF the topic is well referenced there should be a list of scholarly references, and possible links to other sites, at the bottom of the page. You may choose to use some of the same sources. Wikipedia should never be your only source.
