Western Michigan University's Fashion Organization constructed an avant-garde ensemble for their "Concrete Jungle" fall/winter 2012 collection. The ensemble featured a sheer velvet burnout fabric with chiffon underlining and satin lining. It included boning, faux leaves, and metal wiring with a wood finish. The organization also created a pure silk gown for their "Elegant Benevolence" spring/summer 2012 collection, which featured hand-pleated bodice, shirred waistline, and overlapping drape with a custom corset featuring boning, padding, and hook-and-eye tape.
