About  ACE   American Council on Education In 1977, the Carnegie Corporation granted  the  Office of Women in Higher Education  ( OWHE ) funds to initiate the  ACE  National Identification Program ~ now called the  ACE  Network.  ACE founded in 1918 Nation’s largest higher education association Represents more than 1,600 college & university presidents Represents 200 related associations nationwide Provides leadership and a unifying voice on key higher education    issues Influences public policy through advocacy, research and    program initiatives

Minnesota  ACE  Women’s Network   Current strategic directions include… Increasing individual and campus involvement in Minnesota so every campus is represented within the Network  Communicating effectively and regularly with individuals, campuses and institutional leaders about issues in higher education  Providing women leaders of higher education with professional development opportunities
Becoming a Member Minnesota  ACE  Women’s Network  is open to all women in higher education.   Current members, institutional representatives, and board members  come from all educational sectors: public, private and proprietary institutions.   No individual, annual membership fee  Revenue generated from membership fees, conferences  and sponsorships  All board members volunteer time, energy and resources to continue  and expand the Network Institutional representatives are key players in maintaining the  Network as informational liaisons between the Network a nd women  on their respective campuses
