3. Why present Research work
• Accidents, Injury and the Post effect of injury calls for any
professional to look at the damage that is caused
• The Post-trauma burden, stress, strain, difficulties faced by
victim & family members are too severe and damaging
• A total family disorganization prevails which has an adverse
Psychosocial adjustmental influence on daily functioning of
the victim and the family members, per se

The main focus
to look at the Post Trauma stress, difficulties
and burden undergone by the victims due to
Injury and Accidents.

6. Methodology
Target Population
A population of more than 200 employees
(Major Disabled Victims) from five Major
organizations involving all the MDI was the
focus group.

7. Study Intervention
The Macro intervention was done at 3 stages:
(a) knowing how the victims felt immediate after the incidence
(post-responses)
(b) after few days of hospitalization (in hospital), and
(c) Presently after the incidence, i.e. after long span of time and
before joining back to work.
It was an Major intervention all these 3 levels and to know
the severity and the degree of burden faced, while looking at

11. Action Plans
• An exclusive person needs to be given the responsibility of taking
care of Burden and trauma victims. His/her should be trained in
counseling; rehabilitation; and trauma care areas
• Community efforts have to be streamlined. Community
rehabilitation centers have to be established
• Funds have to be provided to work in this area. The funds may be
utilized to have a study and survey of such trauma cases, prepare an
action plan based on the results and further work that needs to be
undertaken. An International support is needed
• Safe living through safe community intervention should be worked
out on macro level; and establishment of Health Programs and
after-care services
