This study examined the psychosocial burden faced by workers due to occupational accidents and injuries. Interviews were conducted with victims at three stages: immediately after the incident, during hospitalization, and later before returning to work. The results showed that 90% of victims faced difficulties at work due to their accidents and injuries. Family members of 90% of victims experienced significant post-traumatic stress and financial and social adjustments. Since there were no community support programs, the study concluded that trauma care programs through safe community interventions are needed to help victims and their families cope with the effects of workplace accidents and injuries.
