visceral understanding of why they're in business.
It can surprise, inspire, and transform a business.
“to explore strange new
worlds,
to seek out new life and
new civilizations,
to boldly go where no
man has gone before.”
The above mission statement for
Starship Enterprise is the perfect
example of this. It clearly and
concisely states what Starship
Enterprise is about, as a mission
statement should.
"To inspire and nurture the
human spirit – one person,
one cup and one
neighborhood at a time.”
With this statement, Starbucks clearly
shows that it’s customers are it’s top
priority. They prove that their business
is about more than just a cup of coffee.
It states why the company is in business. It displays their
reason for the company to even exist.
"To spread the power of optimism.”
This company’s mission statement is short and
sweet, but to the point. Anyone who’s seen or
owned a t-shirt from this company knows that
every one of them can make you smile. Every
single product they make spreads a part of their
core purpose. I personally think the marketing
of this company is perfect. They even have a
hashtag that is #growthegood to help “spread
the power of optimism”.
LIFE IS NOT PERFECT. LIFE IS NOT EASY.
LIFE IS GOOD.

The American Red Cross is a non-profit,
volunteer-based organization that helps crisis
areas in a time of need. Their mission
statement resonates with so many people. It
pushed volunteers, donors, and partners to
work even harder.
COCA COLA
"To refresh the world in mind, body and spirit. To inspire
moments of optimism and happiness through our brands and
actions.”
I think Coca Cola’s mission statement is worded perfectly. By using the words
”refresh” and ”happiness,” it embodies Coke perfectly. They even developed the
share a coke campaign which shows their core values perfectly.
