Through cultivating worship and devotion, Renew grooms believers into teachable disciples committed to spiritual development and transforming thinking to follow God's will.

MINISTRY
—Renew is a gathering of Godly-minded disciples supplying
young adults with a foundational belief system governed by God’s
Word. Our mandate is to introduce students to the gospel of
God in order to become believers in Jesus. Through cultivating
an atmosphere of worship and devotion, Renew is committed to
groom believers into teachable disciples of Jesus. As the
disciples“[continue] steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the
breaking of bread, and in prayers” (Acts 2:42), servanthood naturally
develops from a learned love for each other. Renew’s desire is to
encourage and equip servants to then mature and pursue
leadership in the advance of God’s kingdom within the city of
Hays and beyond. Through this process of spiritual development,
Renew is creating a culture of love where hearts and minds are
relieved of the burdens of deep-seeded issues and are thereby
transformed in their thinking to hear and do God’s will.

Jacob Kiplagat Kipchilis was born in November 20th 1970 –Friday night- at Kaptumo in Baringo County, Kenya. He is a born-again Christian Sunday school teacher, father, mentor, mentee, trainer, minister of the word of God (both physically and virtually), religious leader and a clinician. He is a master trainer for Sunday school teachers and youth workers since 1999. Jacob has worked in the Government of Kenya ministry of Health for 10 years since 1995 and currently is the Clinical Manager of Pediatrics at the Eastern Deanery Aids Relief Program (EDARP), Nairobi, Kenya. A position he has held since 2005. He also serves as an ordained children and youth minister in Baringo County, under the leadership of Rev Dr. Wilson Kiloo of the Full Gospel Churches of Kenya (FGCK) Talai Local Church Assembly (LCA). Jacob Kipchilis is married to Dr. Rebecca Kipchilis who works as an Ophthalmologist at Eldama Ravine Sub County hospital, Baringo County. They are blessed with five children. He holds master degree in Biblical studies New Testament concentration (MBTH) from Pan Africa Cristian University. He holds a PhD degree in Doctor of Divinity (honoris causa) from Breakthrough International Bible University. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Bible and Theology from Global University USA under the East African School of Theology (EAST). Jacob recently graduated on 14th July 2023 with his MBTH Biblical Studies at Pan Africa Christian University, focusing on the New Testament under the supervision of two re-known African bible scholars; Prof Nathan Chiroma (the immediate former Dean School of Theology PAC University) and Prof Elizabeth Mburu (the current Africa Regional Coordinator for Langham Literature). Again, Kipchilis holds three Higher National Diplomas (HNDs). Namely: HND in Theology, HND in Paediatrics and Child Health and HND in Health Management. Jacob also holds a Diploma in theology from Emmaus Bible School, a Diploma in Church Planting Initiative from the Bible League Kenya, and a Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from KMTC Nairobi Campus. He holds numerous certificates in the Medical practice and Theological field. Notably, he holds a certificate in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Basic counseling skills, HIV in Children, Families Matter program, Health choices, trauma counseling, Child play therapy, Basic Biblical Hebrews, among others. Jacob has also studied Biblical Greek and Hebrew, up to level six at Pan African Christian University. He is the first ever ordained Senior Sunday School Patron with the Full Gospel Churches of Kenya by Bishop Doctor Daniel Chemon the District Overseer Baringo County. Christian meditation involves focusing one's thoughts on God and his word through deliberate contemplation and reflection. It aims to strengthen intimacy with God through obedience to his commands. Unlike other types of meditation which seek to empty the mind, Christian meditation involves filling the mind with God's truths from scripture in order to know and obey God. Regular meditation transforms believers to become more like Christ through renewal of the mind and heart as they draw nearer to God, gaining wisdom, joy and guidance.

Effective discipleship involves prayerfully seeking those who are spiritually hungry and teachable, meeting regularly over several months to examine scripture, share struggles, and provide accountability as both the disciple and mentor grow in their dependence on the Holy Spirit and ability to reproduce this process in others. The goal is for disciples to become mentors themselves through a balanced approach of individual and corporate spiritual training.

S.E.N.D. North America is a missionary training program that equips young adults through experiential learning and mentoring. It aims to catch and teach the DNA of revival movements happening on university campuses. Churches can become S.E.N.D.-ready through an 18-month preparation process to receive missionaries with revival experience who will serve the church at no cost and increase its missional effectiveness over time. The goal is to train young people to be missionaries in North America and gently spread revival within churches.

Our Core Values & Beliefs booklet is an attempt to provide a brief summary
of who the Vineyard is and what we believe. Our Statement of Purpose is a
concise affirmation of why we exist. Our Core Values give meaning to all that
we do. They also drive our purpose, define what is central to us, position the
Vineyard in the larger body of Christ, and remove ambiguity in mission. You

Our Statement of Faith provides the foundation for all that we are. The
Statement of Faith is based on the Bible. The Bible is our final authority in all
matters of faith and practice. However, since the Bible is a diverse collection
of narrative stories, poetry, law, and letters, it is helpful to summarize its
teaching in a concise form that can be comprehended by both those deeply
rooted in the church and those who have little exposure to the Bible. This is
the historical function that the ancient universal church creeds played in the
first four hundred years of Christ-centered faith.
It is also important for each community of faith to express these ancient
truths in its own language, and not merely adopt the language of another age
and culture. Every community of faith has two major obligations in regards to
its faith, namely absolute faithfulness to the Word of God, and sensitivity to
the world in which that community lives. This means that the Vineyard move-
ment must express the historical, biblical, orthodox Christian beliefs that we
hold in common with all Christians, and the particular doctrines that are our
distinctive voice, in terms that are relevant to 21st century Christians.
Our Statement of Faith is based on the conviction that the kingdom of God
is the central theological motif that gives definition to all that we believe. It
is a kingdom of God centered theology. This statement is our best current
understanding of the Bible from that kingdom perspective. Our prayer is that
God will bless our sincere attempt to be humble ambassadors of His rule and
reign, and to be a people that practice the presence of God and proclaim His
Gospel, so that His will may be done on Earth as it is in heaven.

CORE VALUES —Devotion to Prayer —Focused on Purpose —Consecrated in Heart —Willfully Serving MINISTRY —Renew is a gathering of Godly-minded disciples supplying young adults with a foundational belief system governed by God’s Word. Our mandate is to introduce students to the gospel of God in order to become believers in Jesus. Through cultivating an atmosphere of worship and devotion, Renew is committed to groom believers into teachable disciples of Jesus. As the disciples“[continue] steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers” (Acts 2:42), servanthood naturally develops from a learned love for each other. Renew’s desire is to encourage and equip servants to then mature and pursue leadership in the advance of God’s kingdom within the city of Hays and beyond. Through this process of spiritual development, Renew is creating a culture of love where hearts and minds are relieved of the burdens of deep-seeded issues and are thereby transformed in their thinking to hear and do God’s will. “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
