This document certifies that Parthasarathy Chandran completed 8 hours of training in the Minitab® software with the course code SIMMTOL2015 on June 28, 2016.
This document discusses using the educational tool Kahoot in the classroom. It explains that Kahoot increases student curiosity and engagement by turning lessons into a game. Students compete to answer multiple choice questions quickly for high scores. The document asserts that Kahoot can help solve low grades by captivating students with technology they enjoy. It also argues that Kahoot could be effectively used as a learning tool in Suriname by making traditional lessons more interactive and preventing boredom.
Auralization Methodology for External and Internal Truck SoundsWiktor Eriksson
This master's thesis from Chalmers University of Technology examines two auralization methodologies: 1) external truck sounds propagating in an urban environment, and 2) internal truck engine sounds for a driving simulator.
For external sounds, semi-anechoic truck pass-by recordings were simulated moving down a generic city street, applying effects like air attenuation, Doppler shift, facade reduction, and room impulse responses calculated via ray tracing.
For internal sounds, granular synthesis was used to recreate engine sounds from in-cab recordings for different driving cases. Grains were extracted from the recordings and overlapped based on engine RPM.
Both methodologies were evaluated in listening tests comparing the synthesized sounds to measurements and existing simulator
This document contains the resume of Luke Ogden, including his personal details, skills, employment history, education, licenses, and referees. It shows that he has over 10 years of experience as a leading hand, supervisor, shot firer and blast controller. His roles have included priming, loading, stemming, tying in and firing shots. He currently works as a leading hand and supervisor at Rio Tinto and holds qualifications including a shot firer license, dangerous goods security clearance and forklift training.
Lean Six Sigma is a quality improvement methodology that combines Lean and Six Sigma. It aims to improve quality by identifying and removing waste and reducing variation and defects in healthcare processes. This methodology can help reduce medical errors and improve patient outcomes and satisfaction in the healthcare industry.
Keynote: Leadership for Sustainable Development, Zainal Abidin SanusiESD UNU-IAS
The 2016 ProSPER.Net Leadership Programme was held in Labuan Island and Beaufort, Sabah, Malaysia. The Programme included workshops, plenary sessions, and fieldwork around the topics of local sustainable development challenges in the region. The main goals of the Programme were to identify local leadership opportunities for sustainable development and to link local and national sustainable development projects to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Paris Climate Treaty, and the Sendai Framework on Disaster Risk Reduction.

Lean's First 25 Years -- and the Next 25 by Jim WomackChet Marchwinski
Lean management has crossed many frontiers, including business sectors, functions, countries, and a region, since Machine That Changed the World was published 25 years ago, kicking off the effort to move lean thinking out of the auto industry, out of Japan, and across the world.
But besides a few “poster children” like Toyota and Lantech, sustaining and spreading lean thinking and practice has been very difficult, according to co-author Jim Womack, founding CEO of the nonprofit Lean Enterprise Institute (www.lean.org).
In this presentation from the March 2016 Lean Transformation Summit, Womack reflects on what worked and what didn’t in spreading lean management. And he explores what needs to be done in the next 25 years to sustain and spread lean management.

Previously, she held technical and training roles for the Tatweer Smart School Project and worked in sales, marketing, and technical support. She is proficient in English, Arabic, social media strategy, content creation, and technical skills like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Microsoft Office.
The document discusses lean implementation efforts at a production cell that manufactures connectors. It outlines the challenges of reducing lead time by 60%, work in progress by 70%, and other metrics. Process analysis was conducted including value stream mapping. Opportunities were identified and prioritized. Changes implemented included layout redesign, standard work, visual management boards, and focused improvement teams. Lessons from kaizen events were documented. The lean transformation efforts showed improvements across key metrics and engaged the team.
How to be a digital nomad - Amy Wagner, Agile Cambridge 2016Amy Wagner
There's a growing list of organisations choosing to operate with fully distributed teams, spawning an ever-increasing community of digital nomads.
These are citizens of the world who are re-shaping what it means to be part of a team, an office and even a country.
This presentation is a case study exploring Amy's own experiences of location-independent living/working, plus experiences of 3 other people she met along the way.

Microsoft PowerPoint - Impacts of Distributed Generation (Public Copy)George Sey Jr., PE
Distributed generation can impact local distribution systems in several ways: it can cause overvoltages, voltage fluctuations, and issues related to unintentional islanding when the distributed generation continues to operate after being isolated from the main grid. Proper grounding of distributed generation sources and anti-islanding protection are important to mitigate these impacts. As distributed generation penetration increases, its impacts on distribution systems must be carefully evaluated.
