Minerva is an app created by Julio Cèsar Carrasquel and Razieh Akbari that allows users to take or select a photo, learn about the photo subject from Wikipedia, and view its location on a map. The app guides users to take or select a photo, then displays the first paragraph from the photo subject's Wikipedia entry and a link to more details, as well as showing the location on Google Maps. Based on user feedback, changes have been made such as adding a photo gallery, automatically saving photos, reducing photo file sizes, and redesigning the main page.
