• The lack of the ability to structure an interactive
learning paths, overcoming trauma
• Nobody is trying to exploit the patients comfort zones
to achieve the therapy checkpoints more quickly with
the help of technology

People with this problem are undergoing psychotherapy
aimed at identifying the cause of the trauma, through
cognitive exercises assigned by the psychotherapist.
VR in this case would create custom routes targeted
to the needs of the patient, through the creation of
interactive scenarios edited by the therapist.

pathologies and the second linked to post
traumatic stress disorder, are scalable to
the majority of mental illnesses and they
could help to improve the patient’s quality

• Sounds (ambient music, voices, songs, …)

• Sensors: wearable sensors that monitor vital levels (e.g. heart rate,
sweating, temperature, ...)
• Events “if-then” (e.g. if heart rate increases, change color)

Our idea of business plan is based on
the sale of licenses to professionals and
healthcare institutions after a period of beta
testing aimed to domain specialists who will
identify common scenarios for the widest range
of diseases.

The application can be implemented with
currently existing technologies.
The scenario creation and representation will
be the most resource-consuming part of the
project, considering that various VR Devices
must be supported.
We suggest to develop the entire system as a
web application, with a distributed layer of
presentation, that will be represented by the
user device.
Also, an Android and iOS application that
exploits the cardboard structure is required
to play simple scenarios at home with a
contained cost.

Our hope is to make a platform
that can be constantly amplied
and improved with experimentation
of new scenarios and tools.
There are a lot of new technologies
still underutilized in the healthcare
panorama and VR applied to this
ecosystem will be one of the biggest
innovation in the psychotherapy
processes.
