t 1
1. Is there a place of natural beauty in your
country?
6
A range of = a vast of
Several = immense = various = numerous
Imposing/ towering mountain
Astonishing / stunning waterfall
Picturesque/ winding rivers
World natural heritage: Ha Long Bay/ Phong Nha – Kẻ Bàng National Park
2. Are there fewer places of natural beauty now
than in the past?
7
I don’t really know/ I don’t know the first thing about this/ I have no idea
actually  But I guess
I’m not (too) sure to be honest  But as far as I know
A increasing number of tourist attractions
Tourism has become the backbone of several countries.
3. Do you do anything to help the environment?
8
Yes I do. Although I know my contribution might be small, there are still a
few things, I’m sure, I can do to improve the situation.
Reduce, reuse, recycle
Plant some trees, save electricity and water,
If everybody gives a hand, the world will be greener
4. What is the most serious problem facing the
environment today?
9
Man-made pollution: Air pollution, water contamination, soil degradation,
plastic pollution, noise pollution, light pollution.
Natural disaster: storm, drought, hurricane, heatwave, flood, volcano
eruption
(give reason or example to support)
Part 2
Describe an environmental issue facing
your country.
You should say:
✗ what kind of problem it is
✗ how long the problem has existed
✗ what effect the problem has had on
people
✗ and explain what we can do to solve
the problem.
10
1. What kind of problem it is?
Air = polluted  the world = industrialized
Factories + vehicles
Example: developing city: Ha Noi
Pm 2.5 dust, Co2 + methane
Wear mask + glasses
Rush hour = sand storm
Air pollution
11
Air pollution
2. how long the problem has existed
10 years.
Become more severe
Vehicles and constructions increase
 Conundrum
12
Air pollution
3. What effect the problem has had on people?
Respiratory infections, lung cancer, and heart diseases
Reduce living standard+ shorten life expectancy
Children = more vulnerable  weaken the immune
system  chronic respiratory diseases.
13
Air pollution
4. What we can do to solve the problem?
- Government: enact policies to encourage green
project: renewable energy
Cut down on Co2 by limiting private vehicles,
imposing heavy Co2 tax
- Individuals: obey the rules, follow green
instructions: growing trees, using public
transport, and
 if the whole society works together, the
problem will be solved.
14
Part 3.
15
1. What is the cause of most
environmental problems in the world?
As far as I concern, human activities namely farming,
manufacturing, exploiting resources are the crux of
the matter. Humans has emitted a huge amount of
carbon footprint, discharged numerous chemical
pollutants that kill rivers, and cut down forests. All of
these lead to climate change and serious pollution.
16
2. Is there much more environmental
damage now than in the past?
Definitely, I mean, we are consuming more than what nature
can recover. We still use fossil fuel immensely and even more
than we did in the past. Forest area declines dramatically
every month, natural resources deplete, sea and other
habitats are being polluted. And I’m sure we gonna face even
more disasters in the future.
17
3. What more can governments do to
solve environmental issues?
Governments should impose regulations to ban companies
from destroying the environment like heavy carbon tax,
banning single-used products, and increasing environmental
tax.
On top of that, education is always the key solution that school
should add environment protecting features in to every
subjects and syllabus to increase student’s awareness.
18
4. How can we educate children to
protect the environment?
School, family and society should work hand in hand to form
a greener generation. I mean, we need a comprehensive
action to change the situation. As children will learn from
what they see and mimic that. So, parents, or adults, should
definitely be good examples for children to follow.
